  1. Good for you, I'm sure you will do well. All the best from me here in Pembrokeshire Wales UK
  2. Yes Jamie you certainly did inspire me! As I said earlier I never thought the day would come when I would be looking forward to putting my trainers on. That is the pleasure of this board, everyone tries to help and inspire others ( well most of the time ) as there is the odd argument every now and again ! Yes let's hear it for the Bariatric Pal website ! Best wishes to all
  3. Glad you are running again. Thanks to jamielogical I started the C25k and now I run most days even whilst on holiday in Cyprus , just returned from there and just done my first morning run back on home territory this morning. I never ever thought I would be a runner but I really enjoy it. I had my op July 16 2015. Best thing I ever did !
  4. Good luck to both of you. I am sure you will both be fine. Wishing you both a speedy recovery and remember to walk walk walk!
  5. Morning Jinty ! I'm with you about keeping things ready in the fridge and also the list of foods posted by VSGAnne is very similar to what I eat minus the chocolate. To my amazement I don't really care for it anymore.
  6. Good work there Rosie, it is about will power at the end of the day. The thing that Spurs me on is the smaller size in the jeans ! I doubt as I will lose much more now I am hovering around the 11 stone mark up a pound down a pound but it's so much better than weighing almost 18 stone. It will be a year for me in three weeks so I am trying to be under the 11 and staying there by that date. Good luck to us all going downwards !
  7. Hey there Mico you are looking good. When I get back home I think I might be brave enough to post before pics and how I am now. Can't believe that it's three months for you. It's 12 months for me on July 16 th. just back from running here in Cyprus and it's hot already. Time to jump in pool I think! Well done to you !
  8. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from your surgery. You will be so glad you did this
  9. Hi Mico Sorry that your o h was not supportive. I think that Jinty and Kristen have really said it all. Our partners if they have never been really overweight don't completely get what we are going through and sometimes they are not as supportive as we would like them to be. Maybe your wife is feeling a little insecure and sometimes us ladies lash out when feeling this way. However you have got this board and all the fantastic folk here who will listen and totally get what you mean . Oh those foamies, horrid, but they certainly are a reminder that the sleeve is there and working! Hugs from me, just back from my run and on holiday too!
  10. d @@4MRB4PHOTO @@Renkoss I'm having o be careful I don't fart out loud reading this and love that pic! It's cucumbers cauliflower broccoli and beans that are deadly for me. I will see you in orbit Renkoss if I eat that lot in one meal Silent but deadly as we blow
  11. I am so worn out from laughing at this post, thanks to everyone who has given me a right good laugh this morning. That China dancer can go some!
  12. Glad to hear your up and about, hope the others who had surgery at the same time are doing well too. Welcome to the other side x
  13. Hi fancy pants I have just sprayed my I pad with coffee laughing at your post . I think a few of us ladies can identify with you there, you are a good sport for writing that post! I'm on holiday with my best friend who has known me over 30 years. She remarked last night that I am still as daft as ever I was I just don't need to drink alcohol or eat so much to be amusing! The thing that gets her is that I want to walk more or get up early to run. She has always been slim so she can't really understand how I feel now after my weight loss surgery but she is happy for me. All the best from me in sunny Cyprus
  14. Good for you, I'm sure you will do it !
  15. You are doing great Mico you don't have to go full on flat out all the time. Back in Cyprus I'm still running and enjoying it too. Have a great weekend rest up a bit and go back and start again refreshed and revitalised .
  16. Good luck from one Christine to another !
  17. Well done you look great
  18. Wow a year has passed! I bet you can't believe how you feel now ! Over 100 lb gone that's fantastic ! I'm still losing slow but steady and I have completed the C25k. I run Monday to Friday for 35 minutes and I am loving it. Even when I went on holiday I still ran. Going back to Cyprus on Thursday for 2 weeks and running gear is in the bag! I could not have imagined feeling like this a year ago and I am sure you are of the same opinion. Best thing in the world that I ever did, I would say so, only wish I had done it sooner. All the very best to you
  19. Wonderful post really touched my heart thank you for posting
  20. Our stats are quite similar and I know just how you feel! I'm hoping to reach a loss of 100 lbs too. Let's just keep on and surely the scales will go down!
