  1. Hi LoseitKacy! ???????? where are you? I am in Twin Cities area. NW suburbs
  2. Bacon-n-limes I was sleeved at the U OF M by Dr. Leslie on July 21st this year.... Best decision I ever made & top care & he & his team are unbelievable!!!! I could never have enough good things to say about the U OF M & my care by Dr Leslie & the hospital.... Everything was top notch, they were so helpful, he is the mist kind & patient man with answering questions. They call you back quickly from voicemails.... He FIXED my hiatial hurnia that my GASTRO said I didn't have!!! I have had heartburn for over 10 years! I am heartburn free now! They were so on top of knowing everything about me from top to bottom & inside and out before I went into surgery so there was no room for error. The hospital staff was amazing also!! I was deciding between either Mayo of U OF M because if I had this surgery I was only going to go to the best in all of Minnesota.... Both are the top two for the surgery. Mayo is first but I live north of Plymouth so I didn't want to drive 2 hrs to mayo lol. U OF M was much closer and I knew their care was impeccable as well. I wish you all the best!! Let me know if you go with U OF M!! ????????????????
  3. Cynthia I am excited to see how weights do as well..... I am just starting to incorporate them too!! ???????? so exciting for us!!
  4. I was sleeved July 21, lost 30 lbs so far ...... However I just got off a 4 week stall ... Yes 4 week!!! I was going NUTS!! I finally broke the stall & lost 4 lbs over a few days. Now I am holding at the new lower weight for the past 2 days. Uuuggghhhh .... Have not & will not cheat, protein is at 70-80 g a day per NUT. . Water is good. Just so so frustrating.
  5. CynthiaAnn thank you so much!! The sleeve made it possible! I just had a 4 week stall which drove me NUTS! now I lost 4 more bringing me to the 222 .... & now been at 222 for a few days ughh patience is not my best virtue lol .... I wish you the best success as well!!!! ????????????????????
  6. I am 2 months post op. This before is from May this year!! The recent is just from Labor Day!!! My surgery was on July 21st. Crazy! I could not see the difference until I saw the pics side by side! I need to do a full body pic. I still feel huge. I have a ways to go yet.... Still 222 lbs. but this is progress ????????
  7. WOW!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!! You look AWESOME!!! I am 2 months out & soooo impatient!!! Lol I can't wait to get to where you are!!!! Stunning progress!!!
  8. Thank you!!! ???????????????????????????????????????? that's what I thought ????????????????
  9. Bisquick!!!???!!!?? I was on Bariatric Eating website looking up recipes trying to find a good recipe to make for myself and my family for dinner tonight. I am 8 weeks post op. I see a recipe for cheeseburger pie.... Looked yummy. I read the recipe and it says to add in 1/2 cup of BISQUICK!!!!!!??????!!!!! WHAT??????!!!!!!! I don't know about anyone else but carbs to me at this point are so taboo it is not even funny. ???? ughhhhh I know a 1/2 cup for the whole recipe I guess over all is not a lot, but even still the thought of adding it into the food is gut wrenching. I am trying so hard to LOSE.. does anyone else have these thoughts and issues? I just broke a 4 week stall..... Yes 4 WEEK! UGHH and I lost 4 BIG WHOPPING pounds after it broke.... And now holding AGAIN ????.... Last thing I want to do is eat carbs lol..... So is this normal to fear carbs? And is it normal to see carbs on a Bariatric website for recipes? I really want to be successful and don't want to ever regain, after I finally lose it all. Thank you in advance guys ???????? I will show you the recipe
  10. Awesome!!! Thank you ! Yes I had a easy go at surgery as well.... Just getting over being tired was my biggest issue the first few weeks. Now I am good to go though ????????
  11. Awesome! Thank you! ???????? I can walk brisk pace 2 miles & have not had any physical issues otherwise (knock on wood ) lol ????????
  12. Awesome that you did 35 min!! ???????? thank you for sharing ????
  13. Hi I am 7 weeks post op & have been walking for exercise up to now. I got cleared to start with 10 lb weights & increase as tolerated. I am wondering when did anyone start any workout classes in their local gym classes? I really want to pick up some classes too. Thank you
  14. Wow! It is amazing how plans do vary! I have heard that they vary also from sleeve to RNY also as far as your nutritional requirements & vitamins. I had sleeve done, I know some said RNY has any had sleeve? I did my MFP last night & I had 575 cals & 79 g of protein ..... My NUT at my 1 month check up said 50-60 g of protein daily, 48-64 oz of fluid a day
  15. Thank you. I appreciate it. ????
  16. I am 5 weeks out & my NUT says protein should be 50-60 G protein daily..... I see others do more.... So I get confused. Is more better? I hear you can get more constipation & already get that now! How much protein were you consuming at 5 weeks & calories? I also hear differences between caloric intake at this point. How many calories at 5 weeks did you or are you consuming?
  17. Still stalled. Upped my protein. Called my NUT she says I am doing great... I lost so much in a month and a half that it's normal to stall for this long. UGHHHHHH I THINK MY BODY IS A JERK LOL
  18. Thank you so very much!! I greatly appreciate it! I truly do
  19. Ok I can do that, just keep drinking it until gone. Yesterday I took mine to go out and of course could not finish it and was out and about. So with milk on it I could not let it sit and keep drinking after sitting in the car ????
  20. What do you guys eat that your cals are 500 or less and 60 grams of protein daily? Right now I am at 480 cals before my dinner & 54 grams of protein
  21. Ok thank you I will up to 500 cals a day... I know that's not high for a human body... But it's so scary to up my cals after being so low. Does that sound crazy? Right now I am at about 40 protein a day I try to get more in a day. I will go for 50-70. Thank you. It's just hard because my protein shake gives me great protein, at 26 grams in 1 scoop but I can't finish a full shake in 1 sitting. So I never finish a full shake ever. I get so full.
  22. this week coming up is now week 5 and I am currently 226 and I have been now for 2 weeks! STALL since surgery I was losing a pound a day nice and steadily. since surgery on July 21st I have lost 26 lbs. I am not over exercising, I am not dehydrated, no I don't hit 64 oz daily but I do get up to 40 oz or more because I LOVE water and even before surgery I always have. So I try to drink it all day as it is. My cals are not over 400, I absolutely do not cheat and I don't ever plan to. I had this surgery to lose and be healthy so I am not one to pop a Hershey kiss here and there lol 5 weeks out after surgery. I know everyone says lose the scale but I am not dropping pants sizes fast so to measure by how clothes feel on a weekly basis in the middle of a stall is hard to keep myself mentally positive. Do you know what I mean? It's such a mental game! UGHH I know I am not eating too much, yet when I am not losing I think I am eating too much then. I know I am no where near 3200 cals so clearly I am not. But it the mental game part. How long can the first stall last? I am going crazy. Has anyone's surgery ever not worked for them?
