  6. Same to @Deneah how's your recovery so far? Have you been able to go walking? Have been allowed any fluids yet? How's your pain?
  7. @SookLei how are you? How are feeling? How was your surgery?
  8. @@kimvox66, how was your surgery? How are you feeling?
  9. Congratulations @@linz32! Sounds like you're doing well. How's it going with your fluid and protein intake? Have you returned to work? Any suggestions for pureed or mushy foods?
  10. I'm glad to hear you're up and walking. Sorry about the gas pain. Keep walking, it's said to help with the gas pain.
  11. Good luck today! I'm also sending prayers and wishes for a non complicated and speedy recovery. When you can, please let us know how you're doing?
  12. Good luck today! Please keep us posted on how you're feeling? Sending you good wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
  13. @avocadoPAK. I'm having my surgery at Inova Fair Oaks. October 12th
  14. Thank you for all of these great recipes. I'll definitely use them when I reach the phase to have food again.
  15. Welcome @cendella170. Sounds like you're well on your way. Good luck on this journey. I'm having surgery Oct 12th. I'm at least a hundred pounds overweight. I have 1 co-morbidity sleep apnea. Today is my last 90 day NUT appt. I didn't have to lose weight, I just had to maintain. So if I maintained my weight, my paperwork will be submitted for approval today. I will be on pins and needles waiting for an approval. Less than 2 weeks to go!
  16. Good luck tom to @@guyfrom315 and @covarrubis911. Please keep us posted on how you're doing. Wishing you a smooth surgery and a non complicated surgery. Just remember to sip and walk.
  17. No way! I'm too excited, I'm counting down the days, 13 days away. I want this too badly. I want my health and my girlish figure. I'm ready. ????
  18. You got this! I'm sure you've researched, read, and more. You're more than ready! I completely agree that it's much more different than reading about it. Buuuuut, how exciting it is to experience this journey first hand rather than reading. You can apply everything you've learned thus far. I'm a special ed teacher, we're always taught that you learn best when it's engaging and hands on. ???? Here it is, can't get any more hands on than this. I'm truly excited for you and wishing and praying for a smooth surgery, speedy and non complicated recovery. Please let us know how you're doing.
  19. @@dancingqueene, no worries...well try not to. I know it's easier said than done. My paperwork will be submitted on Wednesday. I can't wait, I'm filled with excitement and curiosity. A second chance. If it so happens, I receive a no then I will appeal continously. I refuse to go down without a fight. I need this! I will pray for God to give you strength and patience as you experience this waiting period. Try to focus on what you'll need to pack, purchase and have so you can have a smooth recovery. I purchased a power recliner so I don't have to worry about getting in and out of bed. This is where I'll be sitting and sleeping for a while. I also ordered a chair for the shower. My shower is extremely slippery and nothing to hold onto. Rather be safe than sorry. They're very inexpensive at Walmart online.
  20. That sounds like a great idea! Where can I purchase a wedge pillow? What about a robe for when you're walking? Just in case you're not ready for anything on your stomach.
  21. I have Aetna. I have a $100 copay day of surgery. My patient coordinator told me that according to my insurance that the most I can pay put of pocket is $500. My surgeon's office will bill me within a month of surgery. I have to pay $350 at my pre op appt, which will cover my 6 months post op appts.
