  1. I went back on Monday which was 13 days after surgery. I teach first grade, so I'm moving a lot. I did fine. I was really tired Monday-Wednesday nights. But the last two have been better. I pack a ton of stuff in my lunch bag just in case: Greek yogurt, sf pudding, peanut butter/crackers, string cheese, protein shake. It has worked so far! Good luck! You can have crackers and chesse I was told baby type food until I'm 4 weeks out just are you able to handle the chesse and crackers? My surgery was Oct 5th and I'm hoping I'm able to tolerate that type of food soon. I haven't had any problems with the crackers or cheese. I just chew everything to mush!

  3. First few days it's hard to get the liquids and protein in. Hang in there! It gets better!
  4. I got the patch behind the ear too.
  5. Good luck! Let us know how you are when you can!
  6. I lost 21 in the first two weeks. Now at the end of two weeks I've stalled! I hate it! But I know it's normal, so I'm hanging on!
  7. @Miracle. I wouldn't worry about it, but that's me. They told me at the hospital you have a chance of getting a whole lot more there than at home!
  8. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. Eating what I'm supposed to and walk daily. I suppose it will move eventually! Just annoying!
  9. Well I am only week 2, but hit my first stall. I have weighed the same for three days. I am trying not to get upset about it, because I've heard all the stories about them from others. But it's hard to not think that this isn't going to work! Ugh!
  10. The first week I thought like that all the time. Second week it is getting farther from my mind. As we can start to eat normal food and a little more, I think it won't be as bad!
  11. Patches it is! Thanks for the info!!
  12. I am Facebook friends with him. Myself and another BP'er commented on his wall, hoping a family member would see it. No comments yet. His brother-in-law posted about praying for him when it first happened but nothing since.
  13. I heard the patches can cause side effects. Anyone know anything about that? I would love to try those otherwise. Might have to check them out! I'm tired of feeling sick every time I take a vitamin. Will we eventually be able to swallow vitamins. I think that might be better than this!
  14. Anyone here have problems with the vitamins post op? I am about a week and a half post op and am having a hard time with the multi and calcium. I've tried chewables. The aftertaste is bad and it makes my stomach feel weird--kind of nauseated. So I bought soft chews. They do the same thing. I'm tired of spending a fortune on vitamins that I can't take. Any suggestions?
  15. Karma-So glad they caught this now! My doc said my liver looked bad too and biopsies it. But that most over weight people have fatty livers. Nothing came back so I guess I'm good now that I'm losing weight. Hope you get your surgery soon and start that journey to healthy!!
  16. @CHLOEE12 Edie is right. Everyone is different. I had a fairly easy recovery. Came home day two and didn't really use pain meds once I got home. I did have gas pain in the hospital a little but not horrible. It was all basically gone by day three. Good luck!!
  17. I thought about it but hadn't decided. That is next Tuesday for me. Not sure I want to get some or not. I'm not a big fan of blending up food. But I can do cheese, crackers chewed well, and eggs next week so I might not have to worry about it.
  18. Hi @Raggedy. I was sleeved on 10/6. I did one week clear liquids and today start a full liquid plan. I have lost 10 lbs since surgery day. Good luck!
  19. I did today. Clearance for anything as long as I'm not hurting. Day 6!
  20. Sorry for you Marcia but super glad they found this now! Get healthy fast!!
  21. I am praying! Prayers for a quick recovery Ron!!
  22. Take walks as often as you can! Helps so much!!
  23. Hope everything comes back fine and you get home today!!
