  7. @@James Marusek My ticker is correct. This isn't my first WLS rodeo, revision from sleeve. Ticker was started back when I was venturing for the last WLS. Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement! I actually had a bloodwork up completed this morning, as I am seeing the surgeons office on Friday. We shall see.
  8. Pre op 304, day of surgery 289 present weight 276. Up four pounds this past week (six days). Confused and discouraged! Last week I weighed 272. I ventured to get into the 60's by this week. I did very well 98% of my week. Stuck to my food plan, attended Zumba even joined and completed two Yoga classes - I probably could have drank a little bit more Water, but that's about all. I fought the cupcake and brownie temptations that came with having my nephews together. I just don't get it! I truly thought for sure I would have LOST four pounds, that's how good of a week I thought I had. I weighed one day early just because I was SO excited to see my progress. What a bombshell. No its not muscle; no its not PMS (not expecting it for a while); its a total failure! I am so upset. Not a happy woman.
  9. Allison,,,I believe it was clearly outlined as you mentioned. Praying for you!

  11. I have one of those pillows with arms that you use to sit up un bed, they're called 'husbands'...lol. really, thats their name. In anycase, im a belly sleeper, and since thats not an option right now, prop the husband up on two pillows and use an addittional one to support my head in whatever position i need. I contemplated a recliner but i dont have the funds. Hope i helped somehow.

  13. Oh lord do I know what you are talking about! My plan is plastic nip and fix. Hopefully they will lift upward when it is time to do a tummy tuck-hopefully.
  14. I can relate. I just came off of a period that started on September 1st! It stopped on Tuesday October 6th. I had the IUD which did not help me and after a year and a half had to have it removed. After seeing Gyn on Monday they mentioned the ablation spoken above. However, surgery is not permissible until at least 6 weeks post op. Had bypass on 9/16. So, for now I have a consult to discuss the procedure, but I am going to hold off for a bit. Hopefully, weight loss will regulate my menses and I will not need ANOTHER procedure. As for your concern, I would try the always overnights - purple packaging. Put two on if needed. I empathize with you. Trust me though,if you wind up having your period when you go for surgery (like me), do not even flinch, the staff are so used to so much worse. They will not even care about dealing with it. Hoping and praying something works for you. Regards, India

  16. Take a daily stool softener. It helps. U won't be dependent forever. It helps so you can pass something. Eventually you can stop it.
  17. Best wishes! Praying for you!

  19. I totally forgot that we shouldn't chew gum and I just had a piece and I swallowed it. I know, I know, gross bad habit, but is what it is. I am 14 days post op. Should I be concerned. Oh lord, I didn't mean to, lost my mind for a moment. What do I do?

  22. @Kayluc - You are SO spot on with the chapstick!!! OMG, wish I knew before hand. Had to settle for Vaseline NOT the same! @Larac - Congratulations and blessings to you! xoxo
  23. @Knitchic....I had surgery on 9/17 and have similar sensation. Mine is on right side. What makes it worse for me is the gravity pull on my belly apron....Oye' It has subsided some but still need to sleep in foreign position- I am a belly sleeper, so haven't had much success with sleep since surgery but each day is progress. Hope your pain subsides soon! Your sister in the journey xoxo
  24. I am totally re-reading my reply from above because I was drawn to the scale and no movement....so frustrating and depressing - needed a reminder. Grrrr

  26. Depends on how you will handle the news (good or bad). For me, I had a one week post op appointment and waited for them to weigh me. I was extremely disappointed. I was only TWO pounds from day of surgery. My issue may be Fluid retention. My Jackson Pratt is still draining a lot of fluids, so they left it in an extra week. Like I said, tho. If you are the type who will not beat themselves up for not meeting your weight loss goals not losing as much as you hoped for, I say go ahead. Just really try not to compare yourself to other "posters" weigh loss achievements. Everyone is on a separate journey. Wishing you well.

  31. I have surgery tomorrow and while I am not planning on running a marathon I am wondering when, what and how much exercise I should look to incorporate once I am sent home I will be home for six weeks starting today. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, I own an elliptical machine - would you say that's equivalent to walking, or should I just stick to the good ole' normal walking - one foot in front of the other. Thank you
  32. This may be a far reach, but you never know unless you try and no harm for doing so.....what if you asked the surgeon to opt pro-bono. Given your BMI is high (so is mine) maybe they will be willing to help or even on at a discounted financed rate...? Also, if funds are not available what about trying a "go-fund me" account. There is much to say about social media these days! Don't give up. You are not alone! Hugs
