I only had two stitches place in a port that should have had four and one of them broke. My port now has dropped and sits side ways I now can only have fills under floro because it is so deep and turned. No problems filling it under floro. Good Luck

All of these feels are normal , But you should consult you Doctor I not only had pain her it went in to my shoulder the Doctor said it was gas.Good luck

I had also had this problem. All my fills, but my last one was done by a Doctor that would not due Floro. I changed to a Doctor that would and found out the problem I was having was because my food was backing up in my esphagus.I am now on liquid and soft protien for two weeks and then I am hoping that the swelling will go down when I go back for next fill we will see. I so Stress to have your fills under floro so that you can make sure there are no other probelms going on....Go luck

Robin well we not only share the same name as we do bad starts. My Wound became inflamed and the wound split open it took two months for it to heal. During that time a suture came undo and my port turned side ways. I now get fills under floro and it is easier to find because it is so deep...Good luck and keep you chin up it will pay off.

I have had no problem FF. It has to be the person I also have had no problem with food either thats why I am her a year later. I hope I am now going the write direction.

No skbishop78 it is Dr Hugh Houston he only does then under floroscopy I go Friday wish me luck... I hope that he finds band to be find and I can start the uphill swing to loss weight. I have paid a lot of money for this surgery not counting the day of emotional stress because I have not had the proper fill...... I am in such a stressful state weighting for Friday to get here.......... Pray for me...........

My sister and I had our surgery 8/2005. I have only lost 25 pds. It took me a long time to find a Doctor since I had my surgery in TJ Mexico 4 months after surgery I had my fill 1 cc. I have a 4cc Inmed band. I went for first fill in Jan. With no resriction I returned in Feb. to find that there was nothing in my band. The Doctor said that I might have a leak so he used something use to do my fill with 1 1/2 cc. With no restriction I returned in March to find that he stated that there was a fill in it this time with 5 lbs lost he didn't want to give me another fill but he did now up to 2 1/2 cc still to this day no retrictions no more fills. I want to find a Doctor Iin Tn. or some were close to Memphis TN that will do fill under floroscopy.... I just feel that the Doctor was not hitting the port. I don't uerstand this fill business. I have read so much but don't have a clear understand even after speaking to a Doctor. How can you have a 4cc band but have 41/2 to more fills HELP>

Elisabeth Banded on 3/30/06 Dr. Geiss, NY 5/25/06 First Fill, 321 pounds (1.5 cc in a 4 cc Inamed Band) 6/21/06 Second Fill, 316 pounds (3 cc's for a total of 4.5 cc's) Elizabeth Help me to understand this fill process. I have the same band and was told that you can only have 4cc put in a 4cc band. I am so confused

Welcome, I am also new to this website I was banded about a month ago and I feel so great. I tend to forget that I have had this done. I tend to over eat I think I need a fill also. I would love to find a Doctor in the Memphis TN area instead of having to go back to Mexico.... Well I wish you great luck....

I would love to start a thread with bandster in the Tennessee area. I have been banded since 8/13/05. I feel great I don't even feel like I have had surgery. Until I eat, my mind is not where my stomach is. I tend to either eat to fast or to much. I have to get in control. I think that I might need to have a fill, but is it to soon. My wound where the port is split open and is having to heal from the inside out. I saw my local Doctor and he is following my care on this. I was banded in Mexico and would like to find a Doctor in Memphis area for the fill no luck yet.

Hi Everyone, Just getting started on this web site. I know all the same feelings that you are having been there and done that. I am now at the point that I feel great and don't even know that I have had it done. I watch what I eat, but feel that I am eating to much my weight has slowed down considerably I now have to tell myself that I have had this done. I think I am getting close to needing a fill. I was hoping to find somewhere close. I am about 45 miles out of Memphis going towards Nashville. Any one know of a Doctor that will do TJ patients?
