  2. My fist appt was in December... Had to do 6 month visits with my pcp and within those 6 month schedule appts with nut,heart doc, sleep study, psych etc... My paper work was submitted to insurance In May and it took about 3 weeks to hear back that I was approved....Had surgery this past June on the 24th... So this entire process took 6 months....

  5. Right now at 3 weeks I can drink about 4-5 ounces.... I'm on soft foods now and to be honest after 3-4 small bites I'm finished....
  6. Hey polar gonna try mashed today.... I've been good lost about 30 lbs as well... But it looks like things are starting to slow down now so I'm only gonna weigh my self once a week.... Gonna increase my walking time as well and see if that helps......
  7. Just found out that my surgeon used a 42fr bougie....and the restriction is pretty good!!!! Can't have anything over 3-4 ounces...

  15. Yup same thing here!!!! Water was definitely easier to get down at first then the protein after... Just give it some time...
  16. Let me tell u that it gets better and better every single day!!!!! I'll be 2 weeks out tomorrow and I felt the same way last week and a few days after surgery.... I couldn't get any fluids down at all.... and now 2 weeks later I'm getting all my fluids in.... The pain is gone....and I can finally have a good night sleep sleeping on my side.... go easy and allow your body the time it needs to heal properly....with each day that passes it will get easier!!!! You'll see!!!
  17. Amazing!!!! I'm also noticing some clothing that was mega tight are now super loose!!!! I'm also gonna wait til my follow up tomorrow to be weighed...I'll be 2 weeks out on Wednesday!!!!! congrats to you!!!!

  20. @kiks: I use 1 teaspoon of raw organic honey in my tea...
  21. Costco's premier protein 30 grams of protein chocolate and vanilla.... Costs $25 for 18 cans in 1 pack...The chocolate is my favorite but the vanilla is good to u can add fruit to it, mio and other flavorings to create an awesome smoothie....I've had this brand before surgery... And I'm still drinking this brand after...it's pretty good!!!!

  23. Nancy w: that pain in your throat will go away soon... I had that feeling right after surgery/recovery then it went away a few hours later... Just keep sipping....so glad to hear you are doing well post as well!!!!
  24. Chelleshocked: I'm so happy u are get ur fluids in!!!! It didn't happen right away for me but as the days go by I do notice that I am able to take a few extra sips...
  25. Linseeka: I no exactly what u mean the hiccups are indeed killer... It makes my chest and tummy hurt and isn't a pleasant feeling..so I just try to take a few sips of water every few mins and it eventually stops...
