  1. Thanks! =) I've been doing the EAS protein shakes and the premier protein ones. I was thinking about getting unjury too, because I have a hard time getting protein in.
  2. Thanks! That makes me feel better. =) I never really saw a life worth living in my future until this surgery.
  3. That doesn't sound too bad! I wish I could have fruit and veggies. I miss bananas! They didn't tell me to do clear liquids the day before but I think I'm going to anyway!
  4. So I'm only 23 and I'm scheduled for surgery on this Tuesday, May 26th. Anybody else young and very heavy like me who got sleeved? I used to think it made so much more sense to get wls when you're younger because then you'll get to enjoy the rest of your life, so to speak, but now I'm realizing how scary it is to make a life-changing decision when I've still got so much life left to go! I think about how hard it might be to find a relationship with someone who shares the same values and how going out with my friends or family will change. I keep reminding myself "it's scary, but it's scarier to think about being fat for the rest of your life." it's sort of my mantra. I'm not having doubts about getting it, but I'm scared and anxious. My head, logically, is like "you're crazy. You can do it." and the other part of me is like "uhm any surgery is scary! You could die! This is such a crazy decision!" Needless to say, I haven't been a very big risk taker in my life so far.
  5. I started my job about three months ago. It's nerve-wracking being in a new place and making such a big change but it'll get easier! It took everything in me just to tell my manager and HR because everyone in my office (which is small) is skinny. I'm getting more anxious the closer my date gets. Excited but anxious about surgery in general and just about how much my life is going to change. I wish I had found this website earlier in my process!
  6. Is anybody else allowed to have Greek yogurt? It hasn't been too bad for me with yogurt, soup, and protein shakes. Are you guys doing broths at all? Have you bought any to prep for after? I'm doing my last bit of shopping this weekend and want to see if anybody has good ideas or brands. =)
  7. Has anybody done the pre-op liquid diet and not had much trouble with it? I mean, I was exhausted the first two days, but I'm fine now. I'm pretty much subsisting on greek yogurt and soup right now, but I've been throwing in one protein drink a day. I love greek yogurt, so to me, it hasn't been too limiting.
  8. My surgery is on Tuesday in MA as well! I came down with a really bad cold this week, so my surgeon said to update him on Sunday night to make sure I'm okay...I'm feeling the same anxiety too; it's so scary making a life-changing decision, especially when I'm only 23.
