  1. Work2bskinny: I do apologize for the late response. This is my first time ever on any type of forum and I am just seeing your question. I pray all went well with your surgery and that you are ready for the change. Anyway my surgeon required this device to prevent clotting. It was placed in the groin area and it will remain there for 6 months. Again, I apologize for the late reply.
  2. Excuse my ignorance, but what is an IVC filter? I am having surgery June 8th too ( it is tomorrow!!) and I am curious what that is....Thanks and good luck my sleeve sister!
  3. Reading this makes me feel so much better. I was listening to some of the stories in class today and started feeling like an outsider. Thanks for sharing your stories.

  21. I started my pre-op diet on Monday. It is not bad at all...my only problem was headaches. On yesterday the surgeon told me to increase my protein. I will see how I get through today. Other than that I am not hungry and I do not have the desire eat solid foods. I will say that chewing gum has helped. Praying for all.
  22. Hello. I am scheduled for June 8th. I had my last office visit with the surgeon on yesterday. It was so much information to take in I started feeling overwhelmed. The process for me went really quick and smooth. I have prayed and I am very comfortable with the decision I have made. I wish everyone success.
