  1. I was about sane HW 296. SW 257. CW 227. Surgery june 23rd. I started my maintenance diet at week 6 this week and seemed to have stalled this week. But not getting frustrated I have gotten a good amount off in short time and knew a stall would happen at some point. Keep it up!
  2. I sometimes have a tsp of olive oil mayo with my meat, a sprinkling (1/6 c.) of grated cheese, or 1/4 of an avocado to a meal so I can have some good fats. I love Tex-Mex food, so my big splurge is to have 6 corn tortilla chips for a snack. I am on 3 meals a day plus 1-2 small Snacks a day, with usually 1 of those being a Protein shake or 1/2 a Qwest bar.I get only over 700, and my nut doesn't allow snacks only 3 meals so don't see how either. But some nut allow snacking. I will have to ask mu nut,at my 2 months follow up in 2 weeks
  3. Sleeved June 23rd this Tuesday will be 6 weeks since surgery. HW 296 Jan 1st SW 257 June 23rd CW 227 Aug 2nd Been traveling this summer since surgery and feeling drained. Glad to be done with vacations so I can get my mind caught up with my body. Things I notice: I was on Iron and vit d before I thought about surgery to get those levels normal by my PCP. I can still take my weekly vit d but the iron pill makes me so nauseous. So I will have to take up with doc in 2 weeks for my 2 month checkup and bloodwork. Starting my everyday 4 oz per meal menus this week. Nothing has made me sick yet, just chewing as much as possible.
  4. My niece was over 6 months out before she could handle one bite of rice or pasta.
  5. My psych test of 150 questions just pointed out to me I was bossy, I didn't need him or a test to tell me that. Lol
  6. I ended up in ER last night with UTI and kidney stone from the higher uric acid.
  7. I have never had gout before but aware of it as my husband suffers from it in his foot alot. OMG it's painful! My thumb out of the blue started hurting in such a painful way yesterday nothing was helping. Now it's kinda frozen up can't use at all and radiating in my hand and wrist. Has anyone ever had this happen that has never had a gout attack before? I am stopping and crystal light and just doing water for awile. Not in my diet yet for cherries but I am sure if I mash them well I can tolerate to help. Any other suggestion?
  8. The surgeons office and pre approval lady at my surgeons office have done so many they have it down to a science. They also send a packet to my PCP with everything line by line they have to do. I tried to get them to push my last appt up a day or two but they said no it will cause cigna to deny if not over 3 months. So sorry everyone having problems. Thus is where the doctors office can really help alot since they know what these insurance companies look for
  9. Thanks for feedback! I ordered the Genepro protein powder today after your suggestions and looking at difference
  10. Dr Strickland, Riverside Surgical Columbia SC. Hospital: Lexington Medical Center. Nothing but good things to say about both during surgery and post op. Now pre op seems admin staff couldn't communicate between each other or or with me at times. Didn't feel too much bond with them or nutritionist. There is a new nutrionist since my surgery and she seems much better. They offer monthly support groups even to people who didn't have their surgery with them.
  11. Any other suggestions on how yall use the powder?

  15. Can anyone suggest a good protein powder I can add little to my soft foods that I am having during post op diet? I hope to not change the flavor of those foods too much by adding the powder. Any suggestions or advice?
  16. I have 3 17 oz bottles I bought from walmart. One for water, one for crystal light and other has chocolate protein drink. I make sure to get 1/2 protein shake down in am other half at lunch. Rest time just sip on other two bottles. I use the pure protein powder from walmart 50g for my whole 17oz bottle.
