So glad it went well!!

Made an over-hungry bad decision
That's what I'm hoping for- that I'm not the only one. Maybe I had a bigger problem with mindless eating than I ever thought? Guess that is why they call it mindless.

Overnight
Much luck! My first night was hard and I spent a lot of time pacing, but every day it gets much better!

Made an over-hungry bad decision
One week post op- went to a client site today where I sipped Isopure all day. Client brought in lunch- I sipped my Isopure. Meeting ended 2 hours late, got stuck in traffic, went way too long without my broth, got home, was warming up my broth and my son had a leftover cookie on the counter and I took a fairly big bite, chewed it up and swallowed it, then thought, "Oh crap, I'm an idiot." Please tell me I'm not the only one that does something this stupid? I don't think I'll make this mistake again- my tummy is not happy.

No Straws After Gastric Sleeve Surgery...
I never knew I was so bad about gulping until this surgery, and I had to start using a straw so I could figure out how to sip. No issues from it yet!

Low BMI UNDER 200# to start
I am 5'8" starting weight was 211. I just had it done 4 days ago and down to 205- spent most of my life in the gym and eating relatively well, with portion control issues. Looking forward to losing the weight for sure!

OMG when does the gas pain end?!
Day 4 and it was the first day I could actually get some liquid down and not be miserable doing it. Yay!!! Looking forward to my Isopure Mother's Day dinner tomorrow!

Surgery tomorrow and freaking out! !
I'm with you- it's my day 3, and gas pain is better, but really struggling with getting enough fluids and protein. Who'd have ever guessed it'd be so hard to get calories? Hope you are doing better!

How bad is day 2? If day one is surgery how bad is day2?
It's amazing to me how different the recoveries have been! I was supposed to get this done in January 2015, but broke my leg instead- got a plate and 8 screws. So coming into this I thought "no biggie." And really the pain from the actual surgery is no big deal at all- but the gas pain for me was absolutely problematic, and has prevented me from getting enough liquid in. I'm on day 3 now, which is much better than yesterday, and starting my day off with some protein shake. I WILL get my 60 oz and 60 grams in today!!

Surgery tomorrow and freaking out! !
Just seeing this- I had mine done last Tuesday- 5/5, and felt exactly the same as you. We don't go into this surgery without a lot of thoughtful consideration, and I'm hoping you came through knowing you made the right decision for you. Family always want to interject, and not always in the right way. The first 36 hours were really hard for me, but today was a good day, and tomorrow will be even better. Best wishes to you!

My story is new gossip:(
I did not tell that many people. I felt like I have heard enough comments my whole life, and didn't want to hear anymore. So many people in my life feel like they have all the advice in the world to give, and I am not interested in it anymore. And maybe some day I will tell them? Not sure!

Constipation
Don't forget milk of magnesia either- that works great, and it's pretty gentle.

Pain!
Today is day 2 post op, and certainly the gas pain is the worst. Couldn't hardly swallow anything today bc it hurts, but hoping each day will get better!

May Sleevers...where are you?
I just had my surgery today from Dr. Nicholson. Many of the nurses emphasized how great he is. Surgery went well, but the gas pain is hard. Have someone bring gas-x strips so u can use them!! Best wishes to all of you!

May Sleevers...where are you?
I am having my surgery tomorrow. I've been thinking about this for 2 years, and had the first surgery scheduled for January 13th, and broke my leg instead, so had to have a plate and 8 screws put into my leg. Now my day is finally here--I thought I'd be more excited than scared, but right now I am more scared than excited. Feeling like I should run down to the kitchen, make a hamburger and call it quits. Anyone else this scared?
