  1. Haven't had this...but to us Cubans, that's a sign that you'll be coming into some money soon!

  6. I haven't bought anything to prepare...now i feel like I'm behind...LOL! I better get on the ball! I'm definitely buying 4oz containers. I already have my yeti cup which I LOVE! My mom is going to make me a stash of different broths that I will probably keep in the freezer. I wanted to buy some of the isopure...just in case. And some low weight dumbbells to tone my arms when I walk. Wonder how soon I'll be able to use those though?! I'll also be taking some before pictures and measurements...just to see my progress too.

  11. @fab...me too! I've never been more ready in my life for anything like I am about this. I know about 3 people at work who have recently had either the sleeve or bypass and they all say the same thing. It's the best thing that has ever happened to them.
  12. I'll be about 3 weeks out too. I'm thinking mashed potatoes or sweet potato casserole? Maybe a little mashed turkey or something. I'm not too worried about it though...I've done enough thanksgiving binging to last me a decade! LOL
  13. Fab....I already have them picked out...LOL!
  14. @@fabnsab ...I'm making a goal chart with rewards every time I reach a particular weight. When I lose 50 pounds...I'm buying myself some cow girl boots...LOL! I also made a list of things I'm looking forward to...a weight loss bucket list...if you will! Some things: fitting into my wedding ring again, rock climbing, family photo shoot, being able to cross my legs, horseback riding, being able to wrap myself in a towel, etc etc! I'm excited!

  16. @@munc0911 I know what you are saying...My insurance is the same if I lost too much they would not cover it. They also wouldn't cover if I gained any weight. It was hard...luckily, I'm approved already. Try not to lose too much.

  18. @@bhopeful tell me about it! Cool...We have the same date! @@brittneywlsj - I have Instagram but I don't really use it. So what is everyone doing to prepare for surgery? Are you currently dieting? I'm supposed to be but I keep using the "need-to-enjoy-now-soon-i-wont-be-able-to-eat-anything" excuse and I've been pretty much eating anything I want.
  19. @@munc0911 - welcome aboard! We have the same date @@ladydee3 - thanks same to you! I'm in Miami...how about the both of you?

  21. I start my shakes on the 28th...2 days before my bday. I've already warned everyone that any cakes or dinners need to be done the weekend before...LOL! I am so ready though. I feel like my life is on hold just waiting for the sleeve to happen.
  22. Nice! Congrats...a couple of weeks closer!
  23. Hello! Mine is scheduled for Nov 10...can't wait!
  24. I can totally relate. My doc is going on vacation and I have to wait until Nov 10th...I was supposed to have it in about a week or two.
  25. Hello! I had a major coke addiction as well. One day I said thats it and started drinking lots of Water. I put it on a calendar whenever I would go a day without drinking it. The first two weeks are hard...headaches, crankiness, etc. I drank a lot of coffee during that time which really helped curb the craving. It was very hard! Now I'm at a point where I can't even drink it because it's so sweet. My motivation is just setting my mind to prep for my surgery. I don't want to go through adjusting to the surgery plus having to give up coke all at the same time. Good luck!
