  1. Surgery was perfect.
  2. I was 6 years out and had a revision roux n y on June 8. I threw up all the time. Come to find out my previous doctor left a not needed piece of intestine called a blind loop. Food was going to my new stomach and to this intestine and creating bacteria. I also had a hiatal hernia. If it wasn't for the strictures I would feel great. I am very great full my new doctor took the time to solve the problem.
  3. I just had one 2 weeks ago and am going again this Tuesday for another dilation. I just want to eat and drink without the pain!! My doctor told me be prepared for at least 4 dilations ????

  5. Sugar free Toroni syrup is the best. I had it to my unflavored protein powder. Salted caramel!!
  6. I am 6 weeks out and have had 2 dilations for strictures. I was told thatI it can take up to four dilations to swallow without any problems. Mine is due to acid reflux and scar tissue. It is a horrible feeling of not being able to swallow or breath. The slime from throwing up is awful.
  7. I had string cheese today and cottage cheese. Tomorrow I am going to try tuna fish. Hope it works!!
  8. I had 2 dilations for strictures and my surgery was 6/8. My doctor said I will probably need to have it done at least two more times. I cannot wait to finally eat some real food!!!

  10. I just had a revision 6 weeks ago. I had a stricture and had it ballooned and was able to eat soft foods. The esophagus is closing up again And will have to have the procedure done again. This maybe what you are experiencing. I am still eating yogurt and cream soups and that is getting old real fast!!

  14. 3 weeks out and have puréed my food as well and food is still getting stuck. I am having an upper GI on Tuesday for a possible structure.
  15. I am 3 weeks out this coming Monday and tuna did not work for me today. I took a couple of bites and it was stuck. I start foaming at the mouth and it eventually came back up. I guess I am back to cottage cheese and retried beans!!

  17. I add a spoon of sugar free pudding to my shakes My fav is banana cream. This makes a big difference in taste especially if you are using non flavored protein. Sugar free jello is a good add. I am 5 days out of a total revision. This time around has been so much better!
  18. I am 5 days out of revision surgery and I am swallowing all of my pills. I am taking liquid oxycodene because it absorbs faster.
