I will be going back to this post and following everyone's journey in June. I am going to reach out to April, May, before and beyond. We are all in this together.   8. Hey, surgery date June 5th. I have started substituting meals with Protein shakes so that I can test them out. I Won't officially start my pre-op diet until Tuesday May 26th. I will have some food funerals over the weekend and some holiday eats. Tuesday, its on like popcorn!!! Super-Duper EXCITED!!!

  13. @@Mobeans63, I agree with @Djmohr. My daughter's aunt had lap band surgery 3 years ago and she swears by Premier before and after surgery. Even drinks them now. Since my surgery is in two weeks she bought me over a carton of Strawberries and Cream and chocolate so that I can sample. They both were super delicious plus only 1gram of sugar and 30grams of Protein. Strawberries and Cream was the best. I love everything chocolate and that one was great as well. I just had pre-conceived notions that the strawberry one would taste like cough medicine, lol... so SHOCKED it was so delicious! I start my pre-op diet on Monday and will be purchasing more this weekend. Other brands tasted horribly although I am still looking for other varieties... Best of LUCK!!!
  14. @@burtonbn thats great no supervised diet but atleast you are going to take it easy and start working.. i havent tried ptotein shakes, i will start this weekend. I was told that after surgery, everything taste different so don't over buy. Lrt me know what you find & I will as well. Congrats also... its so exciting!!!
  15. Congrats to all of you ladies. This gives me so much inspiration as I will be having surgery on June 5th. There is NO doubt that I am sticking this out now and forever. Reading your posts helps me know that there is hope for my achy knees, loss of energy, headaches(high blood pressure), cpap machine and taking all of these medicines (diabetes high cholesteral)... THANK YOU for sharing and keeping us updated. I enjoy all of the reads good thoughts and not so great thoughts.

  17. @@Djmohr wow these are awesome ideas... My surgery is on June 5th. I know I have a little ways to go but I am trying to be prepared.
  18. @@Spiceyfrog I have a 14-day High Protein (70-100g per day), Low Carb Diet (15-30 grams per meal); Lean meat, Poultry, fish, & eggs (baked broiled, boiled and grilled).. Nothing fried - 10-15oz Plant protein (beans, legumes, nuts seeds) - 1/2 cup Protein Suppliment (Whey, Soy, Pea, Hemp, Rice, etc) 1-2 servings Low Fat Diary skim, 1%milk, low lactose free milk, almond, flax greek yogurt 0% greek (2 cups day) Fruits (fresh or frozen) 1/2-3/4 cups day Veges no starchy (fresh or frozen) - 2-3cups Water - 8 cups day Thankfully, not all liquid or broths yet.
  19. Hello everyone, my surgery date is June 5th CW 212, CH 5'2 goal weight my surgeon predicts 145-150 which is my size about 10years ago before I becase preganant with my daughter. I have been looking back thinking how great I felt with that weight (145). We will see and best of luck to everyone!!
