  1. Thank you so much for asking this question!! I am 2 weeks post op, and have always been a HUGE spice nut! I can't wait to eat crawfish! We have a crawfish boil this weekend to attend, and I want some badly, but kinda scared. I also love me some Franks Hot Sauce, and Tony Cachere's seasoning!
  2. I can ONLY watch it, if my belly is full! lol
  3. Day 8 for me and I just moved to creamed soups from only clear liquids. I tried broccoli cheese soup today and am laying here in misery. Been miserable for hours over a couple of spoonfuls. It's really runny too not thick. I want it so bad!!
  4. I'm day 8 and still struggling to get 1 shake down in a few hours! You are not alone.
  5. I am having the same issue! Commercials, Pinterest, Facebook, and my Son's girlfriend keeps cooking these gourmet meals!! Ugh!! I am now wanting food badly!!
  6. I have a 21 month old and my husband and older boys have helped me greatly!! I am 8 days post op and still need help lifting my Son into high chair, picking up toys, bathing etc. I have been able to do other things with him but it hasn't been easy. I can't really bend over for anything, nor lift him! I have made sure someone is with me at all times during recovery if I have my Son around. Hope this helps. Good luck!
  7. Well.......I ended up going to dinner and having a little chicken tortilla Soup (only liquid) and a Margarita on the rocks! I probably shouldn't have, but I did and I didn't have any problems at all and I'm over that craving. I know it wasn't in my best interest, but it's done, and I suffered no problems. Thanks for your feedback although, I'm a bad listener I guess ????
  8. I'm 1 week post op, and today is our 10 yr wedding anniversary. I really want to have a glass of wine but worried it's too soon. What's your thoughts?
  9. @@Kristomoto When I went to pre-op appt a couple weeks ago, my nurse was doing my EKG and asked if I had taken Phentermine before, I said yes, although it had been about 6 months ago. She said there are some Anesthesiologist that won't perform surgery if you've been on them right before surgery because a patient died on them. It caused her heartbeat to be irregular and put her in cardiac arrest. I was very glad I had stopped taking them. Just wanted to share, but all docs are different. I was amazed she knew from my EKG. That alarms me. It will always show up she said.
  10. @@erose321 I'm on the same diet as you. I'm so ready for some purée foods. I finally started to actually crave food yesterday. Tomorrow is my 10 yr wedding anniversary and I am trying to find a Soup that is acceptable at a restaurant so me and my husband can go to dinner to Celebrate. I'm thinking Won Ton Soup. I've lost 6 lbs since surgery too.
  11. Good luck to the sleevers today!! I'm 6 days post op and feeling good!
  12. @@BLERDgirl I think you are right. I'll email her and see if she suggests something different. I took some Tums and feeling a bit better now.
  13. My doctor is the one that told me to swallow them. I was crushing them in previous days. I think I will go back to crushing for awhile longer.
  14. Good info! I'm 4 days PO too and have the same issue!
  15. I'm 4 days post op and am only on clear fluids and protein shakes. I had my dr follow up and learned I could swallow my Prilosec capsule, so when I got home I took my med. It immediately burned going down. After napping, I woke up with crazy burning in my esophagus and tummy that comes and goes. I took a gasX strip and it worked for about 30 minutes then it came back. Any suggestions? Ouchie!
  16. I am now at 4 day postop too. I am still very nauseous and sore! I'm struggling badly getting liquids down. Every sip just makes my tummy gurgle and dry heave. I'm on Tylenol3, Phenergan, Carafate, and my reg other meds. Looking forward to some relief soon.
  17. I just had surgery 4/23 and am finding even a sip of water makes me dry heave. It hurts so bad. Not sure how I will get my liquids in today. I'm very scared. The nausea is killer!
  18. Mine is at 7:30am this morning too!! I've been up since 2am getting a bit nervous and excited at the same time. Cheers! Here's to a new us!!! Eek!!
  19. Tomorrow morning is my BIG DAY!! Finally!! Good luck you others that are having surgery tomorrow too!! Nighty night!
  20. My BIG DAY is tomorrow!!! Woohoo!!! Nighty night!!
  21. No, I'm not using Biotin. It's probably due to my thyroid or low testosterone the doc thinks. I just hope it improves.
  22. Question: Anyone else suffering with facial hair (my chin & above my lip)? Will it go away after surgery?? I am hopeful!! So tired of waxing!
  23. Thanks for the well wishes! The doctors told me the same thing about the stone in the kidney doesn't cause pain, and it sure DID! I had pain and nausea for days with it only in my kidney. It did finally stop hurting etc for a few months, and then bam it happened again, but this time it was moving to come out. (This happened to me several times too, so I know it can still cause pain in the kidney) Hopefully those Fluid will push it and she gets relief.
