  1. I haven't vomited any more, still pretty sore. My doctor said me dry heaving probably made me more sore than I would have been. I've been able to pee, but still no BM. The gas pains are rough...feel like my chest/stomach are exploding at times. I just had my post op appointment and they said I'm doing good, beside one incision that's red around it. I have to keep an eye on it and if the redness spreads any more they'll put me on some antibiotics. I still feel bad....but I feel better than I did. Hopefully I keep improving! Getting all my Water and Protein in is hard with all this pressure in my chest and stomach. I'm doing my best. I hope everyone else is doing okay! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Finally stopped vomiting. Gas pains are rough, feels like my stomach/chest may explode at times. Struggling to get in my water/protein but I'm doing my best. I've had zero appetite. Feeling pretty sore, but a little better than I have been. I'm ready to feel "normal" again.
  3. I'm hoping I'm through the worst of it. I was really starting to get nervous. I still am of course. Dry heaving/puking with a newly stapled stomach can't be good. I just hope nothing messed up in the process. If I could just get this gas to calm down so I could swallow, I'd be in a lot better shape. Also, the New whey liquid Protein shots my doctor recommended are unbearable to drink. So I'm trying to find another way to get in my protein. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  4. I called and let them know that I wasn't able to keep anything down, not even the smallest sip of Water. They prescribed me zofran for my nausea and it seems to be helping. I was actually able to take my pain medicine and keep it down. I'll let y'all know what I find out at my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I really appreciate the prayers! 5. I'm having a rough time. Puking a lot, I puke every time I take my pain medicine which is liquid, and even sometimes when I only drink the smallest sip of Water I puke. I've been in a lot of pain, and can hardly drink anything due to throwing up and all the pressure in my chest. My follow up appointment is tomorrow. I'm going to explain what's going on and update you on what they decide to do. Thanks for checking on me! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

  7. Nerves have been setting in for the past week or so....But shoo! They are full blown today. I am so ready to be waking up from the surgery and starting my life as a "sleever". Can you guys leave me advice on what I should buy to "eat" for the first couple weeks? Liquid diet, puree' stage, soft food stage, etc. I'd really appreciate it!

  9. When the man that lives in the apartment below me went to the office and filed a complaint that every time I walk around it sounds like I am throwing bowling balls on the ground and about to come through the ceiling. I woke up to an eviction notice on my door if I didn't "resolve the issue within 14 days". I was so embarrassed and humiliated. I walk around softly and barefoot, and have large rugs to hopefully avoid being loud and still was complained on. Even though I feel he was exaggerating a bit, that was one of my many moments that lets me know I need to do this. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

  11. Mine is on Monday and I'm not going to lie, I'm nervous! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  12. I completely understand. Yesterday I was with a friend and she bought herself and her daughter some Popeyes chicken. It smelled so good and my mouth was literally watering. Not eating a single bite of food for 9 days will do that to you I guess lol. I couldn't wait to get out of the car and away from the smell. It was truly torture. 13. Is it a copay or your deductible that it's being applied to. If it's your deductible they aren't allowed to collect up front...a claim as to be submitted and the insurance company as to approve based upon the contracted agreed amount. If it's your copay, then that amount is usually already outlined in your summary of benefits. Hope that helps. I work insurance and I know how frustrating it can be Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App I honestly don't know, I'm not the brightest in the insurance department! I just know I have an out of pocket maximum of $2500 and I'm close to $2100 already, before the surgery. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  14. Figured I'd post an update! Now I'm on day 9 and my surgery is Monday. It does seem easier now, when I don't allow myself to think about it. I've been trying to stay occupied which is challenging because I'm generally a boring person lol. I am surviving though and in the beginning I didn't know if I could make it through the 2 weeks. I'm almost there! 41 shakes down, 29 to go! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I was approved for the sleeve but denied for my hiatal hernia to be fixed. My doctor said he will be repairing it anyways as it is necessary for my sleeve to be as successful as possible. If the lap band will interfere with your sleeve success, hopefully your doctor has the same mindset as mine. I would definitely ask your surgeon about it. 18. It has definitely been a struggle! I'm constantly having to talk myself out of a cheat meal. I am pretty much halfway there...my surgery is a week from tomorrow so I have high hopes I will survive lol. Thanks for checking on me! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  19. I have Anthem BC/BS. My surgery was approved about 4 days after everything was submitted, and my surgery is now only 9 days away! Maybe it won't take as long as they are saying....they're probably telling you worst case scenario so if you don't hear anything after a few days you're not in panic mode.
  20. I just had my 2nd nutrition appointment and was given the New Whey as a sample to start preparing for post op liquid diet. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App I ordered a 12 pack off of Amazon for less than $30. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  21. I hope you get feeling better soon! My surgery is on the 18th also and I JUST got over the flu. I went to my pre admission testing and when she took my temp I nearly passed out from holding my breath (I couldn't breathe through my nose and had to keep my mouth closed) lol. I was so scared they would push back my surgery as well. Keep us updated! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  22. I ended up looking on Anthem.com and it looks like I only have less than $500 before I meet my out of pocket limit so I'm hoping that means it won't be any more than $500. I'm still going to call and double check though. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App Keep your fingers crossed for me please! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  23. She told me to call back Monday (1 week before my surgery date) and try again. So I guess that's what I'll do...ugh. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
