  1. I think that is a great option that they send us home with the On Q! - less pain - My doc was out of KY! When is your surgery!!! I just had my first fill today..........this is the best thing I have done for myself!! You will be so glad when you have done it.
  2. Yes, my Drs used OnQ pain buster. I had my surgery on Jan 25th. the On Q was no big deal at all. They just say it helps relieve pain. You take it out yourself at home on the 2nd day...or so many hours after surgery - didnt hurt at all either. Im not sure what the Cath is made of - but there is a little ball like thing that you can hang off your shirt. Just ask ur dr abut it - they will explain, but it turly is nothing to worry about. Who is your Dr??
  3. I live in Metropolis, IL - right on the border near Paducah KY - that is about 6 hours away from Chicago. I think we all worry about all the new stuff we are going thru. At least I am - Im afraid I will over-eat and I dont want to do that. So far, it does stop me. I would love to keep in touch too! It's good to have a support team!!!
  4. Lily: I was banded on 1/25 and have done very well. Im still on soft foods/ but I havent had any problem - other than learning to eat slowly - if you eat to fast or to much you get a feeling and you will know it. My upper stomach hurts and it runs thru to my back - it goes away pretty quickly though. If I stop before I get to that point I feel great!! I havent thrown up at all - or even felt like that at all. Hope I wont. I see you are from IL - I am too. Best of luck to you with your new journey!!

  6. Im actually from Metropolis, IL. I have heard of Dr Argotee and my general Dr has said great things about him. Im actually having my surgery done by Dr Weiss he is out of Lousiville but comes to Mayfield KY. Are you from KY?
  7. My surgery date is Jan 25th and Im so excited. Anyone else going to be banded in Jan? I would love to hear from you - or from anyone that has been banded and has any advise for me. tks
  8. I saw you were from TN - anywhere close to Nashville? Im from IL.
  9. That is awesome news. Im suppose to be banded on Jan 25th. I have Cigna insurance as well and I felt like they would never approve it - we sent my stuff in on Oct 25 and it was approved first of Dec. I hope we both do well!!!!!!!
  10. Feb 13th - that is a great day!! That is my bday. Im going to be banded on Jan 25th - so we will have close band dates. Im feeling alot like you - anxious, excited and nervous. I think that seems to be very normal. Best of luck!!!
  11. I have a question. Im a big snacker? Im supposed to be banded on Jan 25 08. The dr told me it works best for volume eaters?? Do you think it will work for me since Im more of a snacker than a volume eater? Im a little concerned now. Any input or advise would be great. Thanks
