So mad I could spit!
Thanks for all of the replies and encouraging words. As for the scale, I bought it just a couple months ago and it was pretty pricey. So I don't think it's the scale. I gonna really push my Water and go buy the stool softener my doc recommended. I am vowing not to step on the scale until next Friday. Please hold me to it!

So mad I could spit!
So I had my third fill 06/02. I had been frustrated because the weight loss had been so slow. Then on Saturday I get on the scale and I am down ten pounds!!!! Finally some progress. Well today I hopped on the scale because we will be out of town tomorrow and guess what? I am up ten pounds. What the heck is that all about? I haven't changed any thing. Has this happened to any one else? I haven't had a BM since Sunday, but I can't image that there is 10 lbs of pooh in me. Any one have any ideas?

What should I do? (posted in another area too)
So I was banded 03/18. By April I had lost 22lbs. I am happy about that loss but I haven't lost any weight since then. I have had two fills and have 3cc in my 10cc band. I have been using fit day to track my food and I am around 1200 calories a day which include 90-100 grams of protein a day. I have just recently started walking about 20 mins. a day. What am I doing wrong? The only thing I can think of is cutting out all sugar. Has anyone else had to do that to loose properly? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

What is your NEW favorite/least favorite body part?
I would have to say my favorite area is my waist, for now. That's were the weight is coming off fastest and most noticeably. I absolutely hate my legs. I have my dad's legs and have always carried a lot of weight there. I have always been able to leg press more weight that my DH. I can't wait to see those puppies actually look like a ladies legs!

Everyone post your fill dates and progress here!
My first fill was 04/14. They put in 4.5ccs but I couldn't even get 2 sips of Water down before I left the office. So they had to un-fill me; three times before I left, two hour later!!!! They left 2ccs. I have major restriction and no appetite. I am wondering if I am eating enough. I do get three Protein shakes a day for a total of 90 grams of protein, but I have been gaining and losing the same three pounds for a couple weeks now.

Vitamins.....
:confused2: So my next question is I wonder why all my surgeons patients have to take sooo much when it looks as though many of you don't have to take that much.
-
Vitamins.....
Neveragain, I am taking 2 multivatims a day with everything else.
-
Vitamins.....
I have my blood pressure medication that I take every 12 hours but yes the rest are vitamins. 2 Multivitamins, 1 calcium, 1 zinc, 1 E, 1 D, 2 iron, 2 C, 1 B-12, 1 B-complex and 2 chromium.

Vitamins.....
So my doctor has me on a boat load of vitamins and minerals. I take about 8 pills every 12 hours. I have been able to swallow them up until my first fill on Monday. I was just wondering what vitamin regimen does your doctor have you on? Please list the names amount that you have to take daily and if you've been able to find then in liquid form or chew-able. I am having to crush mine and I have it. Thanks!

Question about pills?
Good to know. Crushing my pills and trying to put them in something tasted soooo bad. Glad to know that I may be able to continue swallowing them.

Question about pills?
How many of you out there crush all pills that you take vs. swallowing them? I have found that I can swallow them - no problem, but will that change with my first fill?

Right Side Pain 3 weeks post op
I woke up from surgery this very strong pain on the right hand side of my stomach focusing most on the incision furthest to the right. The furthest right hand incision also causes a dimple when I stand. The pain also radiates around to my back. I am still on percicet and hydrocodone. Has anyone else experienced pain like this? Was it considered normal or abnormal?

4 oz Not enough
I am eating about a cup at a time. I however haven't had my first fill yet so that may change.

day 4 post op feeling UGH!!
I can't respond to the chest tightness. I didn't have any. But as for the gaining weight. It is normal and by 1 week post op I had lost all the water weight and then some. Make sure to walk, walk, walk too. That helps with fluid retention and gas in your system. Make sure to keep working on drinking too. Very important to drink. Also if you are having nausea with the pain meds call the doc office and ask them for anti nausea medication (Promethazine) it worked wonders for me so I can take the pain meds. I counted the day after surgery as day one. As for pain......I am over two weeks out and I still have a lot pf pain on the right side but I am feeling fine other than that. I went back to work last week for a couple half days and have been able to stay at work the full day this week. Hang in there it does getter better every day.

Gaining weight!
Okay, so I'm getting quite frustrated. I was banded 03/18. I had lost 11lbs pre-op and then another 9.5 during the first week after. Then this week I started gaining 1lb a day. I can't figure out what's going on. Here's what I have been eating/drinking.... 40-60oz. Water 2 Protein shakes (30gr of Protein each) 3-4 sugar free pop cycles or fudge cycles (the singles) 1 serving of sugar free pudding or sugar free Jello. 1 small portion of what ever my family is having for dinner. The only think I can think of is that I am not getting enough calories.....any ideas would be helpful. I have another three weeks before I can get in for my first fill. I can't gain 1lb everyday for the next three weeks!

March 18, 2008 Banded
I was banded on 03/18 in WA. Weight loss isn't going very well right now. I was down 20lbs as of Monday. Then I was able go to mushies. I've put 5lbs back on this week. I'm so irritated. I keep telling my self that this is a healing time and that the real weight loss will happen after I get my fill (04/21). But it's still frustrating! How are you doing?

Magic Bullet? Or Blender?
I am on my second magic bullet. I wore the first one out. I have had both the conventional blender and the thunder stick and I have found I love the bullet compared to the others. You mix your drink right in the cup and it can take ice and make it into snow, literally! They aren't that expensive considering how long they last.

For Women Only
I was told the same thing. I was banded on the 18th and my period has been off and on since then. They say the anesthesia messes it up.

March 18th, anyone?
I have Group Health insurance, so they wouldn't cover the surgery. Being that I am private pay things went very quickly. I had my first visit with Dr. Oh 02/08/08. I didn't have any hoops to jump through for my insurance, just all the pre-op testing for Dr Oh and the hospital. It wasn't too bad. Good luck. It'll be your time before you know it!
