  2. Good morning, I know the feeling that you are at. I was dealing with the same thing when I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. The only thing that helped me was sugar free peppermint candy. And when it comes to getting my Protein and other liquid in, I would do 30ml every 15 to 20 minutes...I used a timer on my phone, tablet to help me out....I helped a lot, even when I wasn't able to get all the 64 ozs in everyday...I was able to get close to it like 48ozs. I hope this helps some....Have a blessed day...
  3. Good morning James, The meds were the biggest reason for the regain weight.. Now I am no longer on 15 different meds, all of the steroid meds I am no longer taking, been place on a different meds due to my migraine headaches that I am still dealing with.
  4. Good morning, I just had a RYN revision from a RYN that was done in 2003.....I'm 3 weeks post op and I am just starting on my soft foods but I am still doing my Protein drinks and shakes too. The first 2 weeks I was only doing my Protein Drinks and shakes, broth, and sugar free Jello, crystal light and Water...I'm doing 30ml every 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Congratulations....I know that you are on cloud 9....Can't wait until my big day comes....
  6. Good morning everyone, My name is Candice, I am 38 married to a wonderful man of 18 years and mother of 4 wonderful daughters. Okay, here is my weight loss story. I had a gastric bypass back in Sept 2003 and lost a total of 150lbs..But started having a lot of heath issues that weren't related to my surgery and was placed on 15 different medicines and 11 were steroids. So after dealing with my weight and trying to loss the weight without much success, I decided to find a doctor to help me out. After many test and all, my doctor found out that my stomach had went from a size of a pecan to the size of a lemon....So we decided that a revision of my first gastric bypass would be the best. I starting weight was my most high of 340( my weight went up and down over the past year), on surgery date I was sitting at 331. Now I am 3 weeks post op I am weighting in at 306...I am so proud of myself and know that this is my second chance and having a healthy life. I am truly bless to be at this point in my life and knowing that I have a wonderful support group at home makes it worthwhile.
  7. Kendra, I understand where you are coming from... In 2003 I had gastric bypass and list a total of 150lbs, but started having some health issues which cause me to be placed on a lot of medicines including steroids which cause you to gain weight. ...I regained all plus some. I found a great doctor and just had a revision done 3 weeks ago... You can get there, I have learned through therapy and pre surgery support groups that we deal with alot of mental issues that we didn't think we had... I wish you all the best..
  8. Hi, I'm new to this group... My surgery was 2/16/15... Went and saw my doctor on yesterday for my post op appt. So I'm 3 weeks post op and have lost a total of 29 lbs in 22 days... But like everyone else I can still wear my old clothes, but I know that will change.
