  1. Ahh ok thank u I will keep that in mind when planning my meals each week as I am really trying to lose another 3 stone by August
  2. Yea I am trying to! Over in uk we aren't All about protein I got told yes protein is good but we need carbs and fruit and veg still to help our bodies, I am wanting to cut the carbs right down tho as I think it isn't helping!
  3. I felt same way as U! Ur so sleepy cause Ur only a few days post but also when Ur dehydrated U get that way! I got readmitted 72 hours after my op as I was dehydrated! Mayb see if U can have suppositories pain relief then U will b able to sip a few sips of water or whatever U r having fluid wise!
  4. I have been gaining also! I have gained 3kg since last week and I dunno why as I am not going over 1,000kcals a day sometimes no where near but someone has said bout carbs to cut them back out and see what happensAren't you like 3 months post-op? That's a lot of calories unless you are working out really hard every day. I think I was eating between 400 - 600 calories a day at that point. Just remember the basics; Protein first, then veg, get your fluids in. Exercise. I'm 3 weeks post op

  6. I would suggest cutting out the carby food and concentrate more on lean Protein. For now, try to stay away from Pasta, bread, rice etc...protein is more filling so you should be satisfied longer. Carbs create hunger. OMG do they create hunger? I didn't know that! Thank U I will stay away from them as much as I can then,
  7. I'm eating things like toast and soft boiled eggs and some mince or lasagne or spaghetti bolognese! I do feel the restriction but I find within an hour I can eat again! Although I am trying to keep 2-3 hours between food
  8. I'm getting in 800 kcals already at 3 weeks post! I am now worried
  9. I'm in same position as urself i am at 3 weeks today and I actually have put on 3kg's after losing 19kg which has really upset me! I'm hoping I will start losing again soon :-(
  10. Yep I am experiencing same issue! I actually have gone up 3kg which is really upsetting!
  11. I am having same issue of kfc, Mac Donald's, crazy chicken, it's pure hell for me as everyone I talk to or see eat it still! Or a bit piece of rump steak with ketchup
  12. Initially it was that nothing stayed down and it all poured out but now I am 21 days post and although it hurts or uncomfortable sometimes I am very careful with how much goes in my mouth and take a long time chewing
  13. Well today I totally stuffed up! I am 3 weeks post and ate a whole packet (121g) of maltesers thru the course of 3 hours this evening! I feel so awful mentally not physically cause I did it! I also went out to eat with my 3 kids and my mum and we went Toby carvery and it was so funny as my girls had bigger plates of food than I did! I ate about 20g Turkey 50g mash and had loads of gravy to make it mushy! I also had a 50g size Yorkshire! took me about half hour to eat it, it didn't make me feel ill or anything I felt comfortably full not sick full! Over in uk it goes 1-2 weeks liquids 2-4 weeks soft foods 4-6 weeks start introducing harder stuff! But my consultant suggested I tried meats as long as I chew to a mush which I did! I am at a stall at moment and actually gained 3kg but it's my time of the month in next few days so I am not shocked!!!!! Hope everyone else is doing well!

  18. I'm eating ice cream because my consultant told me to as I can't keep much in there!Interesting! I'd love to know what the rest of your plan looks like. Ice cream makes me hurl. Two bites and I am face down in the toilet. Cream of tomato Soup, oxtail soup, any sorts of Soups as long as not got big lumps in it! I am now on soft foods so I can have things like mash potato with some cheese on it, I'm allowed mince with sauce as long as it's smashed down No not us I am in the uk
  19. Do lots of walking or sitting up as straight as possible to help get rid of the wind
