  1. Thanks. In my head I know this. I'm just not used to sitting still. It's the craziest thing. I have been out of my house other than to walk in my yard since I came home from surgery. I'm going to try to go to church tomorrow and see how I do. Thankfully my life is such that I don't actually have to be anywhere but where I am. I cannot imagine trying to go back to an office or the like.
  2. How is everyone else doing? I'm super tired still. It hit me today I may not just bounce back as quick as I have from other surgeries. I knew it was a major surgery. I researched and read everything. I was still not prepared for the level of exhaustion I feel.
  3. I'm feeling good. Very tired and not the least bit hungry. I keep pushing myself to drink and do my protein.
  4. One word for you - phlebotomist! I refuse to have anyone take mine or try again and again. I just ask outright for the phlebotomist- that's all they do all day long.
  5. I have surgery at 8 a.m. Thursday. Who else? I'd love to know so I can pray for you all as I'm praying my way thru mine.
  6. Another two sleeps and then surgery! I'm ready. Who else is on the 20th?
  7. Me too. I need to message her. Thanks for the reminder.
  8. Dilute it a bit. I have found that if I put it in my blender cup with some ice and let it dilute a bit then it is way less sweet.
  9. I haven't been able to drink a lot of caffeine for years. I think mine was the weather and lack of sleep. Good point, though.
  10. I'm on day one of the pre op diet. Thankfully I am allowed some things other than shakes. I'm fighting a headache but I think that is my household being busy, running since early this morning, and not near enough Water. How is everyone else doing?
  11. I have my preop lab work and chest X-ray tomorrow plus the in office appointment so the NP can go over the pre op diet. It will be a long day. But I am so ready. I just want to feel better.
  12. I start mine Friday and I'm not even thinking about what food I'll miss yet. I cannot think of what I want one last time before surgery which tells me I'm ready mentally. Now, let's see how I feel come Monday or Tuesday. I have two weddings and a birthday party in the month I will be on liquids only. Should be interesting,
  13. This is a great post! Thanks for doing it. It'll give me a visual list that I can pray over each day. I'm so excited for each of us!
  14. Way to go! I am scheduled for surgery on the 20th. I just want to feel better and have been so focused on the improved health aspect I keep forgetting there will be benefits like smaller clothes!
  15. Oh my word I love those bras! They cost a fortune but they hold everything up and in! I am excited about being able to downsize.
  16. Exactly why I wouldn't say anything but I hurt for her.
  17. I'm sitting in a Walmart waiting for my friend to finish shopping. I've been people watching as I sit here. Is it bad that I want to walk up to the super morbidly obese woman using the cart (that is barely carrying her weight) and say something about bariatric surgery? She is young - or at least she has young children. Her little boy was trying to push her chair so she'd move. ????
  18. Depending on the industry she works in $30k might not be unreasonable for her to spend. I know in my previous life I was expected to look a certain way and that entailed $200+ suits. Now I can get by with Target $20 maxi skirts and various tees. ????
  19. What do you all have to do leading up to your surgery? I've got to watch a video series, classes, and preop testing. Plus, we meet with the surgeon three days before the surgery. Should be fun and busy. ????
  20. August 20th for me and I'd love to be in an August group.
  21. August 20th here and I can't wait.
