  3. I was sleeved 10/19/16 and I go to the gym 4x a week.
  4. I'm almost 3 months out Breakfast: coffee and premier Protein Am snack: boiled egg or turkey pepperoni or cheese stick (sometimes a combo of 2 of the above) Lunch: turkey lunch meat or egg/chicken/tuna salad or buffalo chicken dip made with Greek yogurt or left over meat from dinner Afternoon snack: Protein Bar Dinner: 3-4 oz of meat
  5. I was sleeved 10/19 and the struggle is real. I keep saying I must have healed really fast as I have never had a problem and can hold more than 4 oz. I'll be a life long tracker and measurer. I have to use these early months to change habits, but man it isn't easy.
  6. OP I completely understand. I was sleeved 10-19 and also don't feel a ton of restriction. I have to measure and track. I know I will be a life long tracker!!!! I've lost 33 since surgery. My surgeon is happy, but also doesn't want to give me a calorie limit. Most days I get 90-110 protein and my calories are 1,000-1,200. I feel like that is too high. I worry about life long success, but I going to stick to the program. Carbs are the devil.
  7. Can I ask why you stopped the pill? My surgeon required I be off of it for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I just never started it again.
  8. I found a lot on Pinterest. I have a hidden WLS board. My favorite puree was buffalo chicken dip made with Fage Greek of yet.
  9. I'm 33, but that's not to say my hormones aren't out of whack. I came off the pill for surgery. I go on Monday to have a chat. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks so much for sharing! I think we are in the same boat though! I'm losing, but I have to work a little harder. If I didn't measure, my calories would be too high! Did they give you a calorie goal?
  10. I just spoke with the nurse this week. I have an appointment on Monday, so I will see what she says then. No answers right now. ???? I eating 70-110 Protein and keeping my carbs below 50. I'm also pushing Water. Water helps with hunger, but not restriction and feeling satisfied. I'll let you know next week. I found your post will searching for someone like me! You're def not alone.
  11. I was sleeved 10-19 and I'm also in contact with my MD office as I don't feel restriction. You're not alone. I have to measure and stop, even though I could eat more. I don't eat more than 4 oz at a sitting. I could eat more, but I don't. I'm disappointed that I don't get full. I was prepared to feel stuffed after 2 bites as many people do. However, I'm learning that's not going to be my journey.
  12. Yay! I was sleeved in October and am officially on the losers bench. He has a private group/Facebook page that is AMAZING. Are you on there??? Keep me posted on your journey.
  13. I can't wait!!! Come on Tuesday! Well I had a kid size tropical smoothie for lunch...made with Splenda. Another girl that was sleeved said I shouldn't have had berries. It was blended to smithereens. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it now. N Was it filling?
  14. I can't wait until purées. Come on Tuesday!!! Have you had any problems or smooth sailing?
  15. I found some recipes I want to try during in my purée/mush/egg stage. http://www.bariatriceating.com
  16. Thanks for the reply. Yes he did spell it and it's the same as your plan. I didn't know if if I was misinterpreting my full liquid requirements. Thanks again Hang in there...I keep telling myself this is temporary. It's only two weeks! I've enjoyed food for 33 years--a small break isn't going to kill me. Hopefully, I'll believe myself soon. LOL
  17. Each surgeon has his/her own diets and timelines for advancing. My surgeon requires 2 weeks liquids, 2-4 weeks mushies, then soft/full. So I can't have cottage cheese until purée per my MD. Did your MD not spell out his/her expectations? Short answer---I have to wait until my 2 week check up.
  18. Yes!!!! I'm calling my MD tomorrow. I think it is from the Pepcid! It's metallic and horrible. Plus I need to share about my incision pain! I can't imagine trying to work tomorrow with this incision pain ????
  19. Am I the only one dealing with intense incision pain?!? ???? seriously after 10 minutes of walking, I'm in pain!
  20. @@Barb5000 --I was sleeve Monday 10/19 I'm okay. When I woke up in recovery I was in a lot of pain, but the nurses got right on it. I had some time to come out of it then went for my swallow test. No problems there and started on water. Once I had water and walked they sent me on my way. My surgery was outpatient. My biggest complaint the day of the procedure was my throat! Holy moly it hurt, but it was better by the next day. I haven't had problems with water or protein. Yesterday I got 70oz in and 75g of protein. Everyday is easier! The biggest concern I have is the big incision next to my belly button. It is extremely painful. Like brought me to tears yesterday. Other than that it's be okay.
  21. I'm okay. Down six pounds ☺️ however, my main incision next to my belly button is giving me a fit. It hurts bad!!! I want to feel human again and am going to get out of the house with the family today.
  22. When will the incision pain be minimal? I was almost in tears this morning from it ????
  23. I was sleeved on Monday and I'm having an "emotional moment." Not regret per see, but def feeing sad. How are you doing now that you are further out? Can you update us?
  24. Jealous!!! I'm on liquids (includes jello and yogurt---haven't tried yet) until November 3!
