I have Cigna and after it was submitted they claimed to not have it either. I had to wait 3 weeks before they said they received it. The DR office only submitted once. So they had it the whole time. It took me 6 weeks after that to get an answer. At the same time there was someone else on her that submitted after me and got an answer in a week. I was pissed. But that Cigna for you.. I think it depends on the person. My sister and I both used the same Dr. She had a empty band and mine had 2cc in it.

You are not to young. I was 27 and had a BMI of 41. I have a family much like yours where the vast majority of the wowen in my family are obese. I refused to live like that another day. I wanted to be able to enjoy my children and was not doing that then. I was to big to get out and enjoy playing with them. Not only am I happier but I can see the differance in them from having me do more with them. I would not change it for anything else. Insurance covered mine. Good Luck...

It is like that everywhere. My sister and I used the same Dr. But she paid Cash and I had Insurance. She paid 15,000 cash and had 1 yr after care for free and Cigna paid 32,000 for mine and have to pay for all my fills. So if I had to pay 50% of that I would have been paying the same as someone paying cash.

Im still here... I don't post very often but I do get on and read everyday. I am doing great. I love my band. She has become my best friend. Always there to support me. lol... I haven't been walking much now that it is cold but I recently bought a Wii Fit. So I am hoping to get my but moving again. I had my 3rd fill last week and am having a much harder time eating what I need too. Cant get in any meat at all. Hopefully that will easy up soon.

Im am doing great... Lost 10 lbs on Pre op diet and have lost 20 since Surgery. For a total of 30 lbs gone for good... I had my first fill on Tuesday and got 3cc and had 1cc from surgery for a total of 4 cc in a 10 cc band. I am not hungry at all. I could live like this for the rest of my live. I know it will not last but it is good for now. I hope everyone is doing great and having great weight loss!!!

You are so lucky then. I have Cigna OAP and it took them 6 long weeks for my approval.

I want to take a cruise and not feel like the biggest one on the boat. I have always wanted to take a cruise but keep putting it off because I know how uncomfortable I would be if I was the biggest one there.

Sept 5th here too!!! I cant wait!!! Been working on this for 9 months and it is almost here!!!:biggrin:

I finally got my Approval Today!!!!!!!!! It was pending since June 25th... I have no idea what took so long but am just so exited I finaly got it!!!!! I cant wait till Monday when I can finally set my Surgery Date!!!!!! :thumbup:
