I have Lupus and Reynauds Syndrome. I was sleeved on 4/23. I will be honest with you, the fatigue is difficult when I am having a flare up. But thus far I have lost 49 pounds and the quality of my life has changed. I no longer get out of bed in the morning moving around like I am 80 years old. I am able to go to the gym and work out. I actually feel like my old self again.

Biotin pills and Jamaican Black Castor oil. Also decrease the frequency of your retwist. I only retwist every 4 - 6 weeks. Make sure you are getting in all your Protein as well.I actually have some Jamaican Black Caster Oil. Started using it a few days ago. Not a good smell.Yeah the smell is not that great. I use it at night and sleep with a satin bonnet on. The smell is usually mostly gone by morning.Ladies, you can a a little of your favorite essential oil to the JBCO to help the smell. Like tea tree oil, lavender or orange. But they also make scented ones.

I am! I had my sleeve done at UNC just yesterday.. Yeah Congratulations!!!! I am scheduled for 4/23 @ CMC Mercy.... How are you feeling? We should keep in touch ......

I have Anthem BCBS and I have called multiple times to find out the requirements for VSG and they all gave me the same information. Which was NUT visit and Psych visit....Did you try calling back to speak to another representative?
