Anthem BCBS in NH

The insurance company won't answer my questions about coverage & requirements for gastric surgery. Has anyone had to deal with them & were you able to find out their requirements for coverage of the surgery?

    Talk to a surgeon. . They know the requirements. I don't have this ins but my ins Co played the same games. My Dr's office gave me a complete list of the requirements.

    I have Anthem BCBS and I have called multiple times to find out the requirements for VSG and they all gave me the same information. Which was NUT visit and Psych visit....Did you try calling back to speak to another representative?

    I called back & got a very helpful customer service rep. She answered almost all my questions and was really great. What a difference from the last rep!
