  1. Nice to know - hope all goes well and that you heal completely with no troubles.
  2. Big hugs....many prayers for comfort and peace for you.
  3. what made you know that something was wrong with you in the first place. What type of symptoms did you have.
  4. Ok - I haven't exercised other than (laying in the pool on a raft) since surgery - 7/25/05. I guess I'm overdue....so I am up for it. I have a treadmill DH bought for me also about 5 years ago - I know I can do that without hurting myself. I will start tomorrow (I have to clear all the upcoming vacation wardrobe off of it - cause I am getting ready to go on a cruise with hubby for our 20th anniversary) I'll get a work out just getting this stuff packed and situated tonight.
  5. I will be praying for you. Take care.
  6. I was banded on Monday - July 25, 2005. I am going to be going on a cruise on Sept. 17 for our 20th wedding anniversary which is Sept. 7th. I feel good other than a few reflux type symptoms going on.
  7. I was Banded or as I say (I had my stomach handcuffed) on July 25, 2005 in Maumee, Ohio at St. Lukes Hospital with Dr. Duckett and Dr. Oweiss. I think I am doing ok - I'm down 33 lbs. from my start of my 1200 calorie diet on July 5, 2005. I have had some problem with reflux - we are not even sure - cause it's not the typical reflux symptoms....I have been praying this will straighten out and stop as I never had these type of problems pre-band. I just wanted to be able to walk (I have bad arthritis in my right knee and I was starting to walk like my grandma used to). I felt so vulnerable - like I couldn't run away from anything if I needed to.... I am hoping to find hope and comfort reading on these boards - I feel like my whole existence has been wrapped up in this crazy Quest to conquer this terrible disease of obesity. Pray for me and I will pray for all of you also.
  8. That is all too much.....and i have been stressing over reflux and flipping out.....I am praying for Jessica...God Help Her!!!
  9. WOndering if anyone has had plastic surgery on their arm excess skin?
  10. Thanks - I am praying and I believe it will go away for me. It has been better the past two days.
  11. I am a artist and writer and I do exhibits of my "Poetry Art" all over. I am an excellent cook and I spend alot of time making great dishes for my hubby to enjoy.
  12. I was banded on July 25th 2005 and have recently experienced bad reflux that made me feel like something was stuck in my throat forever. I never had it before banding and would like to know if anyone else has had it. My lap-band nurse said none of her other patients had this. I thought to myself "of course - I would be the weirdo to do this"
