  4. Thank you ladies. I had my first check in with the Drs and the night before I started feeling pressure in my chest. So when I got there I actually had "something" to report. The nurses and other clients have me a lot more heart and chat then the drs did and I'm grateful. I felt normal by the time I left. Thanks to you all too. I'm glad to have friends experiencing this that I can reach out to!

  9. Thank you. I know it sounds dumb It's a mind screw for me. The 4 people I know who've had it all told me of complications. So, after all the horror stories I've heard I have it in my head that I should be having a hard time. So thank you I'm glad to hear someone else is reacting the way I am. It helps. A lot

  11. Friends, I'm scared. I had surgery my RNY may 11th. I did everything I was told pre op. I had 3 weeks liq diet and I did my workouts. Surgery went well. I was in pain but did my walking and slept a lot! When it came time to try to do liquids I had no problems getting it down. Then Protein drinks. Again good. They said my pouch was not swollen and it happens I was lucky. It's now close to a week. I've healed well. Walking and strong. Drinking my liquids and ready for the puree food on Tuesday. I'm scared it's not going to work. I've even thought maybe they didn't do it right. (The dr has done thousands all successful so that's BS). It's a total mind screw. I've heard so many horror stories and saw others the same day not doing so well. Please help set my mind to ease and tell me I'm not alone and for some people this is normal. Thanks!

  18. Oh good grief! Thank you for posting this!! I'm a month pre-op and been on this eating plan they want me on since December. I cry at the dumbest things and I am not a cry girl I can only imagine after. Maybe it will be the opposite for me and I'll be cheery hahah. One can only hope. Hang in there!
  19. Mine is in for the review as well. I'm in the same boat totally. Same meds and all. There was a 3 day oversight on the 90day required diet (3days!!!). All I can do is pray they don't deny it. On the other hand while I am waiting I have freaked myself out again. I'm glad you posted and I'm glad this forum is here. It helps. Feel free to reach out. I hope the appeal goes through. *hugs*

  23. I've been telling everyone and I feel the more I tell the better I feel. So far I've gotten positive feedback. It has helped me feel empowered I feel amazing about taking charge of my life and my health. Be proud.
  24. Thank you for this!!! Id love to see some of those. Dealing with similar issues here. Thanks for sharing!!
  25. You are NOT selfish! You are taking control of your Health and that is the most important thing you can do for you and your family. I'm not a huge fan of Dr OZ but if you watch his episode on bypass and the sleeve (two separate episodes you can get online). Listen to what the people say and it will ring home for you. Taking control of our own lives is the most difficult thing we can do and you have a world of support right here! Hugs!
  26. Do more reading. Usually you find its from complications not involving the actual surgery but something else. That's why we need to be cleared by so many Drs ????

  28. So my work has me traveling every month and I'm in the medically supervised diet portion of this to shrink my liver. I'm looking at eating out for the next four days and it's kind of scaring me. I like it at home, I have healthy food and I know what's in it. Does anybody have any suggestions as to eating out and staying true.
