  1. My Pre-Op appointment is today. Surgery is next week. Shit's getting REAL lol
  2. Great work. I am getting ready to be sleeved in less than 2 weeks. I'm on a similar path and reality is starting to set in. Starting at 379 and hope to be at the 215/220 range as well.
  3. In the short term Sitting in a booth Not being fearful to fly on a plane. Not having to buy my clothes from specialty stores that charge a fortune. Long term Getting stamina back to run. I'd like to do a 5K or Mud Run someday. Like to also get back into CrossFit. Something I did a while ago and enjoyed. Hopefully I wont sweat at the drop of a hat.
  4. As someone about to get sleeved reading posts like these is helping me get mentally prepped for the days/weeks/months to come. Thanks for sharing.
  5. I was surprised at how fast mine is happening. 02/12/15 - 1st appointment Met Dr. Owens Met the Nutritionist Did labs Did X-Rays and UGI w/Esophagram 02/16/15 - Physiological Screening 02/20/15 - Insurance Approval 03/03/15 - Pre-Op Consult 03/11/15 - Surgery
  6. Got the call today. Insurance approved 1st try. My surgery is set for March 11th.
  7. I am on Anthem Blue Cross CA PPO. Just an FYI starting March 15th they will now require the 6mo diet plan before approval.
  8. Glad to see this post. I am on day 2 and just have this longing that can only be described as hunger. I have been making sure i am getting plenty of Water. Hopefully this feeling will subside after a few more days. Even tough I am busy at work it's still distracting.
  9. I should be in the march group. I started my liquid phase yesterday with the anticipated surgery date being either 3/4 or 3/11. I have to get the procedure done before the insurance changes go into effect March 15th.
  10. I just started my pre-op liquid phase. Right now I am "enjoying" the Premier Protein chocolate and vanilla. However they do seem to leave a film on my mouth. I just swish a little Water around in my mouth and it clears right up.
  11. This is great to hear. I too have been on a CPAP for the better part of 10 years. My sleeve will be done sometime early March. Looking forward to the night that I don't need this machine. Plus not having to take it when I travel.
