  1. Has anyone tried this bread? How is it? When did you introduce it into your diet?
  2. I was sleeved on 2/23 and went back to work on 2/27. I'm an attorney and I don't have a physically demanding job. For the most part I just take Tylenol for the pain. I've only experienced pain in my largest incision but for the most part things have been smooth sailing.
  3. I was sleeved 2/23 and I do experience hunger but I think it's more mental than anything. I haven't been able to exercise yet because of some pain in my largest incision spot but I plan on starting as soon as I am able to.
  4. I was sleeved on 2/23 and were in the exact same boat. I started experiencing the pain you're describing on Thursday. It still hurts but has significantly diminished. Hang in there, you're not alone.
  5. Congratulations! I was sleeved on 2/23. Good luck I your weight loss journey.
  6. I'm 5 days post op and wondering if anyone uses honeybee agave nectar in their tea or coffee?
  7. I spoke with the doctor and they said it was completely normal. They suggested rotating ice and heat on it. I've done that and it hasn't really helped that much.
  8. Just curious what people eat post op to help get their protein in. My surgeon said no pork or beef for 6 months. Does anyone use turkey bacon, turkey sausage or turkey pepperoni?
  9. I had surgery on 2/23 and have been feeling spectacular thus far. However this morning I woke up with a burning sensation on my lower abdomen incision. Is this normal? Anything I can to do help subside the pain? I've taken my pain meds but it's not helping with this pain.
  10. Just seeking some advice...I had surgery on 2/23 and everything has been going well. I've been very mobile and have barely had to use my pain meds. However, when I sleep its a different story. I tend to lay on my side and the opposite side kills me when I get up. I have tried to sleep on my back but can't seem to get comfortable and even when I do, I still manage to get up in pain. Any ideas of what's causing this and how I can help remedy the issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  11. I had surgery on 2/23 and I am not getting in the 64 oz of fluids that they recommend. Any suggestions?
  12. I was allowed clear liquids only. Sugar free jello, broth, Gatorade, sugar free Popsicles, tea and coffee.
  13. My doctor's office got notification via fax and I had my surgery scheduled before I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company telling me I was approved.
  14. Hi Guys, Surgery went well. I'm tired and a little sore but I feel wonderful.way better than expected. Good luck to all getting sleeved in the future.
  15. Good luck today. I am going in to be sleeved today as well. My surgery begins at 11:45 am. Stay strong and God bless.
  16. I have BCBS of Illinois and I wasn't required to have nutritional program. I just had to show medical necessity. I had to have a psych eval, an ekg, a stress test, and my primary care had to sign off on it. The process was fairly simple. I had my first appointment on 12/23/14 and I am being sleeved today 2/23/15. Good luck with the process.
  17. Good luck tomorrow! I'll definitely check in on you. God bless.
  18. Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
  19. Hi All, I'm getting sleeved tomorrow and I'm super nervous about it! My surgery is at 11:45 am. I'm very concerned about how im going to feel after the surgery. I've heard so many horror stories about people not being able to drink or keep anything down. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!
