  1. I'm so excited, today I picked up my opti-fast shakes to start tomorrow for 4 weeks. Five shakes a day and one low fat, carb free, sugar free meal once a day. I hope everyone is having as much excitement as I am. Well wishes to all!
  2. I can't speak from personal experience but is it possible to cut one or two out everyday until you're off completely. I'll pray you'll be able to quit. I thought about one more thing. I used to drink alcohol a lot that it became an addiction. I just went cold turkey because my husband asked me to. Is there someone that you can be a reason you'll quit?

  4. I'm happy for you! I go tomorrow to pick up my shakes to start Saturday. This is it!!! I'm nervous too but right now my excitement is greater!
  5. Is there anyone who has had a laparoscopic nissen (surgery for severe acid reflux)? I just wondered how the nissen affected the RNY. My surgeon said he would have to take down the portion of my stomach where the nissen was. He also said my surgery time would be about an hour longer than the typical RYN surgery.
  6. I'm so glad to hear that about the craving. Pizza is a weekly thing at our house too. I feel fortunate that my husband said there's no need to fix separate meals. He'll eat what I fix.
  7. I have severe acid reflux. I even had surgery to prevent it. It didn't work. My surgeon said the only way to get rid of it was the bypass. From my research people seem to lose more weight with the bypass.
  8. I agree with you about cheese and sweets! That's how I got myself into this mess. I'm doing some last suppers this week but I've increased my water and walk about 5 days a week. I just wanted to get used to these practices so it's not a shock next Saturday.
  9. I LOVE Pizza too! My favorite food ever! I'm sure as we go along there'll be others that will be my favorite too.
  10. I have to do 3 weeks of 5 protein shakes and 1 healthy meal. Then I do 1 week of protein shakes and clear liquids. And yes, I'm doing the last suppers this week because I start the diet on Saturday, April 18.
  11. My date is May 19. I have also enjoyed all of the feedback.
  12. Mine is May 19. I'm so excited but I'm freaking out a little. I think getting the date made this really.
  13. I'm May 19. Excited and nervous all at once.
