  1. I recommend Caltrate chewable in chocolate truffle. They taste very good and it's like a chocolate treat during the day when you can't have candy. ???? They are in a pink bag at your local walmart. I eat 3-4 a day. Just don't take them with your iron if you have to take iron. Calcium will absorb the iron and vice versa.
  2. I was 2 weeks post op and my dr had me cut pills in half. I'm 5 weeks post op and hope that my dr. will cut me off completely next visit. Can't wait to be rid of them. What about acid reflux meds. Anyone taken off of those since WLS?
  3. This is what my doctor told me as well. Everyone is different. The doctors look more at what percentage of your excess weight have you lost.
  4. Not sure if there is anyway to shrink it again but I've heard about this 5 day pouch test to "reset" yourself. Google it. ???? Good luck!!!
  5. It is real! However mine occurred at week 4! Thankfully it only lasted a week and I am losing again.
  6. Not feeling awkward on a plane because I am spilling into the other seat. Riding the rides as Carowinds and the beach with my kids and not being scared that the seat belt won't fit! Shopping in "normal" size clothing stores.
  7. Mederma is great for scars. You can buy at any pharmacy. You can also use coco butter.
  8. I had mine 5/11/15. I'm doing great. I stalled for about a week but as of now I think I am back on track to losing more!! How are you?
  9. I started out my journey in January weighing 287. The day before my surgery I weighed 268. I am exactly one month post op and I weigh 249. I've not even lost 20lbs and I haven't lost a pound in almost a week. Anyone else had a stall in weight loss at one month post op and what did you do to jump start it back? Any suggestions would be helpful.
  10. 6/8/15 weight is 249 I'm starting to slow down. ????
  11. Thanks for this! This has been the most helpful response by far. Gives me a lot of good suggestions. I didn't realize until the other day that jerky has so much protein. ????
  12. I asked my PA about this today because I didn't want to be wasting my protein and he had never heard of the body only being able to absorb 25-30 grams of protein at one time. My protein shake contains 32 grams per serving and Isopure has 40 grams per bottle. Inquiring minds want to know. I will ask my NUT when I see her as well.
  13. You can also buy unflavored protein mix and add to food when you cook. Or add a scoop of unflavored protein along with your current protein shake mix to add more protein. I add it when I am mixing my eggs up to scramble.
  14. Weigh In 6/1/14: 251lbs.
  15. I took 2 weeks off. You will need it! Trust me!
  16. I am sorry, I put the wrong username. It should be pacegirl1973
  17. I noticed some people have been added to the spreadsheet and some have not. Are we supposed to add ourselves? ????
  18. I use it. Send me a friend request. Pacegirl1973 I can use all the accountability partners I can get. ????
  19. Newbie here. Two weeks post op. Would love to join. My current weight is 254. My goal is 234.
  20. I was excited and nervous! I was more nervous about all the changes and how I would feel post op. Well I am 2 weeks post op and I feel great. It feels weird learning how much I can or should I say can't eat but I'm adjusting.
  21. My favorite is Oh Yeah in Chocolate Milkshake or Chocolate Peanut Butter. Only problem is that I have to order online if I want the powder because the Vitamin Shoppe doesn't sell it anymore. However they do sell the pre-made individuals for you to try.
