I understand what you're saying. I can only speak to the process I went through with Aetna insurance. My 90 day supervised diet, behavior modification clock started on appt 1 with the NUT. Though I lost weight I wasn't required to.
All doctors have different views and procedures. Take it slow. There are a lot of other changes to get used to first before the pre-op diet. It will all come in time. Best wishes.
Let's see...
Crossing my legs
No extension needed for seatbelt on airplane
Horseback riding
Zip lining
Roller coasters
Closer hugs with my hubby (no belly in the way). ????
My NUT documented it. Weightloss, how I've changed my diet, what excercises I'm doing (which isn't much, bad knees). They provide all patients with a pedometer (I switched to fitbit) so she asks how many steps I'm averaging? She put it all in my file.
Hi. Aetna requires 90 days which is actually 4 appts. Within that time frame you should be able to get all of your other appts completed, psych, NUT classes, etc. Best wishes.
I'm also meeting with the NUT ay my surgeons office. They offer the full multi disciplinary program mentioned in Aetnas clinical policy. I'm doing low carbs, I increased my protein and veggie intake and cut out a lot of sugars.
