  1. The Protein shots are 42 grams but I only drink half at a time .. It's the best I can do and my surgeon recommended it. I get most of my protein from Protein shakes anyways
  2. Thanks!! I feel tons better
  3. Yes I can have thin slices deli meats, tuna and ground turkey just no hamburger
  4. Steroids are working and I'm approved for all soft foods. They said the meatballs were a mistake and they told me wrong. So... lol I'm doing well. Staying in the steroids until 4 weeks post op. I'm excited to have a banana ... Even though it's probably two bites lol
  5. Thanks so much I appreciate that!
  6. My sleeve hates dairy so I'm off most dairy. So no creamed soups. The baby bell was a no go. I got the okay to go to simple, soft/mushie proteins like meatballs and lunch meat. It goes down super easy I can only do 2-2.5 proteins shakes a day because the volume is too much. I get all my 60 grams tho. I do a whey protein shot that has 20 grams. I still struggle with water but I'm slowly busy surely getting there. Thanks for all the comments and advice! I go in for another test today. Hopefully they tell me I don't need the feeding tube because I'm doing well on steroids.
  7. I have a follow up today that I'm nervous about. I really don't want a feeding tube. I've been getting my 60 grams of protein just not my water. Pray for me please!
  8. Irritation but if you develop a fever head in right away.
  9. Okay coolness thanks for the comments
  10. I never took morphine. I didn't need any pain meds after the 2nd day. Not even Tylenol. I had a great surgery.
  11. I'm not sure but I have tons of inflammation and I'm on high dose steroids. I've been able to get two Protein shakes and a small amount of mushies. Hopefully I can avoid the feeding tube tomorrow. Oh and I developed a stricture very early so I'll need that dilated at 4 weeks post op
  12. When can we begin crackers? I know it's not the best choice but just wondering .. TIA
  13. Hardly anyone knew about it before hand but now everyone knows. I get good comments and bad comments but ... I DON'T CARE!! It's my body and I made the best decision for me.
  14. Hope your surgery went well! Keep us posted
  15. Yes! I think I'll try lunch meat with a baby bel soft cheese tomorrow. Just like a bite or two.
  16. Surprisingly it went down 0 problems. Probably because I chewed the crap out of it and it's sure protein. It was just a plain patty. No seasoning and it was grilled so low grease. It was small too but I feel so accomplished. Going from nothing last week to finally being able to tolerate a little bit is amazing. I'm not pushing it. Every Time I eat dairy I get sick so maybe I just need to stay away from it. Maybe applesauce is better for me.
  17. Hope you're feeling well today!
  18. Yay! I got down 2 protein shakes today and half of a hamburger patty! Hopefully that keeps me off the feeding tube!!! Just had to share 2 weeks post op tomorrow.
  19. I think it's normal but if it gets worse make an appt. did you feel around it ? Is it only that spot?
  20. Yep I got that too. So strange lol. It's kinda cool because I was always the sweaty girl and now I'm cold. I went to a wedding yesterday and it was packed. I was dancing with my husband and 15 minutes in I wasn't sweating like a pig and I wasn't even tired! My hair stayed perfect as well as my make up because I wasn't sweating! That's cool!
  21. Oh and yes, for one week all I could drink was 20oz of fluid, I was severely depleted. I had to go to the er for iv fluids and electrolytes. Also, they said if over the weekend I couldn't get anything down, I get a feeding tube on Tuesday. I have a kink in my sleeve from inflammation so I'm on string steroids in the hope that it will go down a little and I can fit more than water. Yesterday I got down one protein shake!! My goal is 2 today and 3 tomorrow. If not, feeding tube it is
  22. I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow, suppose to start mushies too but my sleeve still can't handle full liquids. It sucks. I think we will have ups an downs for a few months before our bodies and our sleeves really get the hang of it yA know. Sorry you haven't felt well, keep your head up
