  1. @@defibvt - I have a friend scheduled sx for Dr. Elias Oritz... Can you tell me about your experience? You can email me if needed- jasmine.wilson@aegistherapies.com
  2. I am 3 months post op and I have lost 53 Lbs. last week I had emergency gallbladder surgery! Since the removal of my gallbladder, I cannot tolerate any food. Without too much Information, it doesn't stay in my system long at all. Carbohydrates are the safest thing at the moment. High protein/high fats are very destructive to my system at the moment. Any advice/suggestions to make it through this period? I'm hoping my body will adjust- but I struggling to make my protein goal at the moment!

    Gall Bladder

I just had to have mine removed Tuesday! I was searching this too to see what to expect!
  4. Getting a feeling of what kind of exercise you are doing post WLS. I do 15-20 minutes cardio to get HR in fat burning mode. Then go to weight resistance machines for arms, legs, abs. Then I do functional movements like squats, planks and step ups. So I'm focusing on toning and building muscle in the gym and letting my calorie reduction be my weight loss. What are your exercise routines? ( 12 weeks and 49 lbs gone forever!)
  5. Tomorrow is 6 weeks for me! I am 32 lbs down and it feels fabulous! My weight loss has slowed/plateaued for almost 2 weeks. Beginning to walk on the treadmill at night. My goal is 30 minutes x4 a week. I can tolerate any food!! Are any of you stalling? How did you overcome? How are you dealing at 6 weeks!
  6. you are doing fabulous! I was also sleeved 1/20 and have lost 32 lbs!! I have also stalled last week/this week. I started last week increasing my walking at night. ( I need to get a fit bit for sure!) I feel wonderful! Better than before surgery. And now that I can have caffeine, I'm not sure I want to go back to it and feel great without it! (I have a 2 year old and really struggled giving up caffeine!) I have not struggled with one thing since my surgery. Good luck to you!
  7. I am 3.5 weeks out and can eat soft foods like canned or dark chicken, fish, apples, mushrooms, deli meat. I don't remember seeing anything about hamburger meat? I read where steak is much later- but what about a ground hamburger patty?

    Mushies!

    Hangry!

I feel very similar! I was sleeved 1/20/15. In order to get my protein intake in I sip on a protein smoothie 8-11 (12 ounces) then it's time to get another for lunch! And at 3-4 pm I am hungry! I am scared because I'm eating all day I have stretched out my sleeve. (Paranoid that I would be the 1 person whose surgery failed).
  11. I am a week post op today! Whoohoo! I am worried about my future success because I'm still hungry! I am struggling between enough water and enough protein. I can sip water every few minutes and it leaves my stomach quickly. But protein drinks, I can only sip every 15 minutes. today I had about 25 G protein and about 20 ounces fluid by 1 pm. I am okay until about 2-4 PM. I smell food and it smells delicious and I want it! I so wanted to be one of those people that said they never thought about eating and had to make themselves eat. I'm on full liquids and hVe another week left of full liquids! Suggestions?

    I'm still hungry!

Thanks @@imdoingit! just a thought- could it be related to hormonal/PMS? Getting close to that time for me and normally that's my high craving time and insatiable hunger prior to sx. I won't cheat! I'm too scared! Nothing like holding you to a diet than the thought of messing up your stomach!!!
