  1. It's really weird. I don't feel hunger either. I don't even know where my food is when I swallow it, it just disappears. With the band, I could feel it sitting on the band getting held back and then could feel it when it slid through. That's when I knew to take the next bite. With the bypass, I don't have that same awareness of how the food is traveling yet. I'm sure I'll get used to it
  2. I'm 2 weeks post-op today. I just started on mushy foods. I have the goals for 64 oz of water and 60 g of protein, but is there a guideline for calories at this point? I haven't see anything for that. When I had the lapbad, I was eventually limited to 1200 calories a day. Any ideas? Thanks!
  3. I'm not a fan of regular milk and have been using almond milk for years. It just doesn't give me enough protein. I've had to start making my protein shakes with regular milk to get the needed protein in.
  4. I didn't feel like myself until about day 10.
  5. I'm 37 and am almost 2 weeks post-op. I have one more checkup tomorrow and should be going back to work on Tuesday which would be exactly 2 weeks. I feel pretty good, just tired. I have a feeling that I'll also be teaching from my desk for a bit (hey @@wcdaniels, fellow high school teacher here!).
  6. At my 1 week appt last week, I was cleared to do the treadmill, elliptical, and bike (not recumbent). My practice wants 30 mins 5x a week for now. No weights.
  7. Hi everyone! I've been around the boards for 2 years now as a lapbander and lurker. I had many issues with my band and finally made the jump to take it out. I had a revision to gastric bypass almost 2 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to a new beginning! Thanks for reading
