  1. Congrats, Mamato. So exciting!
  2. Hey Skat Kat. I am in Berryville (Near Summit Point, WV on the WV border) Nice to meet you neighbor!
  3. Oh I have no problem with it. It rocks. Hubby loves it too! (and I have always had the pre-menstrual and pre-ovulation increase in sex drive, too) Just wanted to see if others were having the same cool experience. I am convinced that the change in diet is a huge impact. I haven't lost a lot, so I really think that it is due to in large part to the fact that I am not self-medicating anymore with nasty food. It was the last addiction I let go of, and it was easier than I thought. And Hormones.. those little devils, thanks for the information! at 46, the peri-menopause experience is creeping in for sure. I won't use synth hormones tho, I agree with you - the homeopathic remedies I use, like Sepia for hot flashes and Black Cohosh help more for me. Others seem to be really helped by the synthetics.. I love all our options!
  4. Rain, Are you supposed to get them a size smaller than you normally wear? One of the websites said wear a size smaller in these jeans. If I order online (I am out in the sticks, no stores) I want to try and get it right... ADVICE?
  5. yeah, it looks like Dillards has the best online selection I could find. Lots of petites for us shorties. I have already Wishlisted 3 pairs. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT RAIN! LOL. Well, with the money I don't spend on effing Pizza anymore, what the hay.
  6. COOL! Thanks for the pics because that is what has convinced me to get a pair of these. They look great! It is remarkable the difference - nice booty, girl. Lisa
  7. Sounds like a good explanation to me. For a good time, Shop at your Fat Stores. :omg:
  8. on my way to emergency to die! That is hilarious!
  9. :bounce: Doc, this is hllarious! In Gratitude for Your Service to struggling folks everywhere, Lisa
  10. oh the shaved legs is precious! I had a dream before surgery that my pet Python was acting crazy, and that he twisted around and pushed his head through his own stomach. I was horrified until I realized after he came out of the other side of himself, he was fine, just thinner! Not hard to analyze that one!
  11. Try Isopure Zero Carb clear Drink. It has 40 grams of protein, no carbs, and only 160 calories a bottle. It comes in great flavors like fruit punch, grape, orange, etc... You can get it at GNC or google it.
  12. Lizzie, I gained weight post-surgical too, until my second fill. My doctor said, "Lisa don't worry, you haven't started the weight loss phase yet and actually the fact that you can eat like you used to tells me that you are healing well and the swelling has abated and are almost ready for your first fill". This changed everything. I felt great about it! I had my first fill on Oct. 31st and my third adjustment 2 weeks ago. I now REMEMBER WHY I GOT THIS BAND! I have great restriction, a very small appetite and am loving it now that I am used to eating slowly. There were a few blips retraining myself not to pound food, but hang in there - it gets WONDERFUL!
  13. Losingjusme Do you find that exercise really helps to lessen the "slow down"? I am thinking about joining the Gym again and start weight training, and wondered what your experience has been, or anyone else's, before I commit.
  14. I put 15-20 but to call what I eat a meal is a bit of an exag. I can't eat even a small amount fast anymore, boy did that take getting used to. Pain IS a wonderful teacher. hahahaha.
  15. Nice guy, that makes me feel better, that your wife went there too!
  16. :kiss2: woo hoo - love is in the air. (I wish they had a RABBIT Icon)
  17. also, about three weeks post-op I was able to eat ANYTHING and gained 3 pounds until my fill at 6 weeks. Doc said don't sweat it chickie, there is nothing in the band, it will feel just like you didn't have it once the swelling is down and that is a good thing because it tell him that I am healing well - he saw it as a positive and that totally changed everything for me. I was being so hard on myself, until he said that even weight gain during post op is not that unusual.
  18. Sounds like you are right on track with 16 pounds. And without restriction? Remarkable! I was banded on Sept. 11th and have lost about 20 pounds. 10 pounds a month is excellent. And once you get restriction, you will be so happy - the appetite just flys away. My doctor says the weight loss portion doesn't even really begin until after the fills start, for most of us, and not to worry about it.
  19. Candle, have you tried Activia, or just ask the pharmacist or health food store for Acidophilus...? That helps me with some of the effects of antibiotics. They are something, aren't they? John, I am rolling on the floor! Driving you nuts, no pun intended. I know some of us chicks have hormonal stuff at certain ages that effect the ole libido; we're sorry! LOL Candle, your kitty? Oh my god I almost fell out the chair when I read that. You are hilarious! Here kitty kitty kitty. Too funny you guys. And Never Again, have you tried porno? LOL Don't tell anyone but I watched one. Once. I swear it was only once... I wil never do it again. I promise. I think. Oh hell who knows.... Lisa
  20. Kat I love how I get so many perspectives on this board. I always used to wonder why I never felt supported, and amazingly this board is helping me to understand that when I think I have the answers, I am closed and on my own. When I reach out to others with an "I don't know mind" I feel so supported and get information that is so helpful and that my "I know Mind" would never get. I used to eat over not feeling supported, and I love noticing how I create that experience for myself, or not. It is really something sweet to see how much support for each other lives on this board. Sorry to wax so philosophical, but your post, and every one else's, fills me with such gratitude! Love, Lisa
  21. Sheesh, I had my band on Sept. 11th. I had no real restriction until around Thanksgiving after my second fill. Almost immediately (a week or so) I started to have an increased sex drive! (I am not talking about an addiction transfer to uncontrolled sexual behavior). I also have had almost a complete irradication of the residual mild depression that my Lexapro and the "inner work" that I do had not yet seemed to affect. It is probably not from my thinking having changed so much from weight loss, I have lost about 20 pounds, but big deal. And it is not from exercise, which I have experienced when I was younger and trained in body building for a couple years. I am not doing any intense exercise yet. So I am thinking that the change in diet, i.e. a radical drop in fat consumption and simple (refined) carbohydrates (not sugar, I am not much of a sweets eater) and a switch to a high quality liquid Vitamin supplement called Source of Life, High Quality Protein supplement powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, and Wheat Grass daily is a big contributing factor. I am 46 and just figured, oh I just am not as into sex as I used to be... But it is changing and I find it remarkable to start to realize how much nutrition might have to do with Sex Drive and Depression. I have always been told this, but of course, I know everything and didn't believe it, really. Until I started to experience it.. :clap2: WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR EXPERIENCES!
  22. I love the crock pot Idea. Gonna try that. Thank god I love Tofu and Cottage cheese, tho. PB is Productive Burp. I experience it as a food coming up and out but not like vomiting in that I don't have the spasming feeling or the suddeness of it. It is like a burp that carries food with it. Others may experience it another way.
