Dr. Wallace will be performing my surgery on 2/24...I have so many questions if you do not mind. Do I need to know anything about Pre-Op and Post Op that wish someone would have shared with you? How long did it take for you to lose your first 50lbs? I am currently 5'7 265lbs and BMW of 41. How long did it take for you to recover to where you were able to continue an exercise regimen? I am trying to minimize any excess skin That may occur.

This must be new.. I am so sorry. UHC it seems has definitely changed their criteria for WLS. Do not give up. ..appeal!

I received my surgery date of Feb. 24th of Feb. My Doctor, Dr. Wallace at Froedtert is in Peru and will return at the end of Jan. I I am super excited.

So upset, I have UHC Community Care and was denied. Weighed 265 lost 25lbs within 6 months of supervised weight loss. I was denied because I had no pressing medical problems (not true I am Pre-diabetic) and body mass index is 41. Anyway, I also have Medicare and I have I have been forwarded over to Surgery and I am waiting to be scheduled. I am truly hurt that I was denied by UHC....I am now paying my Medicare deductible to have surgery. Has anyone that has been approved by UHC Community Care in Wisconsin in 2015?

I am so happy for those of you who gave been approved and are scheduled for surgery. I am hoping this is my week to find out if I have been approved. I have gained some of my weight back. My eating habits have been horrible since Thanksgiving.

@ anaxila I just joined the group. ..haven't received my surgery date yet...I was updated that My insurance said it is still under review...also, I will be having my surgery at Froedtart hopefully this month. Have you been schedule?
