jachut i want to say thanks for those wise words of a bandster who knows... i have to admit i was down today... i miss my friend food...the friend who got me here in the first place..fat and unhappy... i was banded on the 28th of nov and i'm still on liquid diet...i know this too will pass but i'm now a woman with a skinny girl's stomach and fat girls brain... what you said made me feel better...so thanks!! moderation is the key to everything...i know that....i just need the band to help me know that... i'm an over eater... you encourage me ...thanks!

heck right now i'd love a slim fast lol!!!

my dr has me on clear liquids, broths only, i wish i could have creamy soup!! i wonder if a lil sf hot chocolate would be ok? i can have coffee or tea with a lil milk or cream? thanks for ur advice..i cant wait till creamy soups!!!! or anything...i feel like i am in prison..anyone's support please i'll take it... i need to lose weight...i just feel like i'll never have good food again... sorry .....just depressed i think .. missing my friend...food:confused:

Hi all.. i got my band Nov 28th and am doing great! On clear liquid diet for 14 days which hubby has been a great help with cooking up some great tasting broths! I just wanted to know how many Nov 28th ppl are out there and say hey! how are ya!!?? I do not have pain..just a lil soreness near port site but nothing what i thought it would be. Yes i do get hungry ... clear broth..come on....lol however when i do have my 4 lil medicine cups i get suprisingly full... or satisfied which makes me happy... back to work tomorrow and full liquids hopefully in a few days... tc and gl to all !!! we can do this... we will do this!!

i'm day 4 was banded on the 28th...i suggested this in another area...i am on clear liquids for 14 days..ugh... broth... sf pop sicles sf jello... i made my own broth..hubby is making a gumbo today with no flour so i can have that...dr up them broths with onions and garlic and strain....so much better.... and as i said before ... a small cheat for me as i cant have protein drinks or slim fasts... a lil apple juice gets me going !!! do what the dr says...its important for healing...but i think clear broth can taste good...cajun it up folks and its delish!!! lol gl!:hungry:

i too have gassy evenings if i must say lol..... it passes though... my dr doesnt allow protein shakes or slim fasts.... i'm on clear liquids for 2 weeks...broths.. jello...sf pop sicles.. i think i'd like some slim fast right now lol i feel hungry! i dont right after i eat my buffet of clear soups though....but then.... my fat girl mind thinks about good food... burgers and cheese..yumm... oh well thats what got me here in the first place! about the gassy feeling, i have a relative who's a nurse and she said after this surgery that gas does repeat itself for a while...then goes away so keep walking and gas x'ing... so far so good...gl yall !! the apple juice is saving me from the depression of...What did i do??? ... can you imagine...apple juice? who would have thought :embarassed:

i had my band nov 28th and am feeling good... no nausia thank god...however in answer to ur lathargic feeling...i too felt bad and cried because i felt so weak... being 14 days on clear liquids sucks.....this helped... a small amount of apple juice made me feel like a million bucks... i'm supposed to be sugar free ..one lil medicine cup did the trick... also... i made a huge veggie soup and strained it....wonderful! makes you feel like ur eating something.. i hope this helps..dont give up...you can do it!!! dr up that broth.. my surgery nurse and my surgeon ok'd this so i know its ok.. egg drop soup!! yummy... call and ask for some options ....good luck!!

hi everyone...i was banded Nov 28th, am home now and feel great... its not anything like what i was worried about.... moving around feeling fine and .. have my 4 lil cups of clear liqs 3 times a day for 2 weeks, now that will get old lol ....anyway..i'm here and i'm banded and gl to everyone still waiting!! :bounce:

ok i tried to edit my message because i missed a word and messed that up so here goes! i too understand that day, its everyday for alot of us. I think that would be a wonderful goal for me, to go out to dinner with hubby and not have to say NO BOOTH PLEASE! like the skinny lil waitress cant tell i wont fit ( some of them arent too brite and head you for a booth while you sweat with embarrassment) My kids even say that for me, well trained huh, and act like they prefer a table too:phanvan. The way you wrote ur day made me laugh, although i'm sure it wasnt funny, I appreciate ur humor! I think alot of us can say, BEEN THERE DONE THAT! thanks, for that this early, my surgery is Nov 28th and i'm so nervous, somehow that gave me some confidence, remember I dont want to feel that way anymore either, so Thanks!

I am on day 8 of pre op liquid diet, I will need the help!! Thank god i get one meal a day so I'll have a small salad, steamed beans and a piece of turkey, I love turkey! However, my choice is lap band and I will do this right!

I love the show too! Last night hubby and i were watching it and I was in tears when the spouses or signifigant others were on the other side the mirrors. The way some of the husbands looked at their wives, made me think, I want that. Don't missunderstand, hubby loves me very much and i know it, I just want to put that lil black dress on someday and wow him because he deserves it, and boy so do I !! Surgery date 1128, liquid diet not going too badly, turkey day will be hard:help: but i think i'll make it. I just keep thinking of standing on the other side of the mirror, in life, this is the beginning of my life and i'm ready. Look out world!!

oh my god, now i'm truely terrified to have this surgery!

are the natural pb's lower in calories or fat? i too love pb. and hope i can have it after being banded!
