  9. Ever since my sleeve (July 27), I can't get enough spice. Doc says the spice is fine so long as I don't have any issues.

  11. I have a friend at work who know all about my surgery. We made a pact that she will share with me when we go out so I don't have to order a full meal and she doesn't eat so much, win win.

  14. My c-section was worse than sleeve surgery. That said, WLS surgery is not a walk in the park; recovery is completely on you whereas with a newborn you don't have much time to dwell on the pain. I would say sleeve has more of a mental impact than anything.

  20. My recovery was a breeze. I was feeling so good, I went back to work on day 4! It's been two weeks and I'm still going strong. Tomorrow I check in with my surgeon and the nutritionist. Totally looking forward to explore soft foods and get to chewing soon. Happy that I'm in good company. Keep up the great work!!
  21. Ever since my sleeve, I have craved spicy foods. I started putting chili sauce in my chicken broth at week 2. My doc was ok so long as I tolerated it. It's strange how are taste buds change. I was never one fore much spice in the past but now I swear I could eat Siracha with a spoon!
  22. Welcome to Ketosis! My doc told me about this when I told him about my aversion to sweets. Basically, ketones are released when your body starts burning fat. Buy a pack of Ketostix and you'll see.
