7 week post op dr visit

I'm also at 7 weeks post-op. For some reason, I haven't had much nausea. Sorry to learn that you have. You have lost so much weight. Good luck on your journey.

    Poop talk.... TMI

I had a problem with having a bowl movement. After three days, I purchased a fleet enema. It worked and I now feel much better. I'm about a month and a half post-op. Good luck!!

    ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Congratulations!! I had my surgery on Feb. 16th. So far, I'm doing great--just a little muscle fatigue. Sandra
  4. Okay. I would like someone to talk to about my journey. Talk soon. You can email me directly at sdana@csulb.edu. Sandra
  5. Thank you Mike for posting your video. I had my sleeve surgery on Feb. 16th. I, too, felt good after my surgery and tried to follow all the advice-- like walking both in the hospital and at home. I know my family was praying for me too. I am now eating baby food, soft egg, cottage cheese and yesterday I had Tilapia which was delicious. I can only eat a small amount, but it was a nice change. I still sip on Protein drinks and Water during the day. I had a one week check up and I will be having my one month check up in a week or two. It seems like the body heals itself--at least on the outside pretty quickly. I'm using Aloe Vera gel, but some people use Vitamin E. Again, good luck and keep us posted. Sandy Dana
  6. #40. Thank you. I was scared after I read your post thinking about the pain ahead of me. I will let you know when my surgery is scheduled. Sandy
  7. In reply to #38, I read your post this morning. So sorry that you are having a difficult time. I just completed my meeting with the psych and nutrionist. The next step will be the upper endoscopy. I will be having the sleeve surgery soon. We are probably about the same age too. My health is pretty good and that is why my doctor recommended getting the sleeve. I know there will be pain, but I'm hoping they'll give me enough medication to help ease the pain. Thanks for posting.

I have a consult date now

Thank you for posting this. I had my consultation with the surgeon in December. They told me that it would be a four month wait until I had surgery because of the nutrionist. I will be meeting with her next week. I also had a psych visit. I will be having the sleeve surgery. Good luck.
  9. Good luck to all of you and thanks for posting.
  10. Good luck to all of you. I just found out today that I will qualify for the sleeve surgery. There will be a couple of extra months during prep work, but it will be worth it.

    Had surgery yesterday

Congratulations ReDiane. I am in the beginning process. I have an interview next week with the nutrionist. How long were you in the hospital? Did they give you any pain medication? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Solagirl

    January 2015 Banders

Dear Flmommyof2: I am new to the lap-band. I have met with a surgeon here in California, but because of the holidays, I must wait until the New Year to get started. I have read some on-line documents and yesterday I received Alex' book on the lap-band. How did you feel after surgery? How long were you in the hospital? Please let me know. Good luck on your recovery. Thanks. Solagirl
  17. I'm new to the BariatricPal website. I am considering the Lap Band procedure and I have met with a surgeon in California who will take my insurance. I would like to know how difficult is this type of surgery?
