  2. I am the same way. I had my surgery on the 16th and I haven't had any issues. No nausea, vomiting, no uncomfortable full feeling, and no dumping. I stay away from sweets - get that in with my shakes. Some days I worry that since I had a band before I had already stretched out my pouch. I just keep measuring all my food out and not eating any more than they recommend at one time. I have noticed today I was also starting to get hungry, which I was hoping would not be the case. I haven't lost in a couple of days, but I also tend to redistribute weight when I start working out and I put on muscle like crazy. I think it is different for everyone. Similar procedure, completely different experience. Lets all just rock it in our own way.
  3. Apparently without realizing it, I created two profiles, so road_to_skinny is me. Whoops!
  4. @@JEN8 Hey! I had the same concern. I had my surgery on the 17th and can drink Water and eat yogurt without feeling 'full'. However, look at your weight loss so far! And without feeling hungry, we just stop at the recommended amounts and teach our bodies what is enough. You will still loose. Speaking from past experience with my Lapband, I hated that feeling of too much and it hurt so bad. That has been the most pleasant effect of my bypass so far is that feeling being gone. I keep looking for reassurance from my husband but he just reminds me of the scale. I was 299 the day of surgery and am 284 today (7 days later). Good luck!!

  7. I am alive. First couple days were super rough. I am home now and keeping down fluids. I have been walking around the block and limiting the pain meds. The first 2 days I kept asking myself what was I thinking. But I have an awesome supportive husband who kept encouraging me and taking care of me. I am excited for the progression and the journey. Thankful for the support here.

  10. My surgery was postponed until tomorrow. First there were 2 accidents and a train so I was late to the hospital by 30 minutes but the doc was running so behind, so they offered to let me be first tomorrow.

  12. I re-read my original message. The I think my phone deleted the middle. 100 calories with 23 g protein, 0 carbs or sugar, 0 fat per scoop
  13. Vitamin Shoppe or mybariatricpantry Vitamin shoppe has sample sizes and my bariatric pantry has sampler packs to order. I have only not liked one flavor I tried and it was calypso cooler or something. I mixed it with Water no additional and it was just too weak. Tasted like a pina colaada though so I bet it could be good a little stronger with skin milk and a touch of pineapple juice. I think I mentioned 23 g Protein and 0 fat. I really like making shakes and coming up with new combos
  14. I am having band removed and bypass done at the same time. For me personally, the band was a horrible experience and I cannot wait to have it gone. I have the same esophageal issues. My doc thought bypass alone would be enough.
  15. This may be late in the discussion, but my favorite protein powder is syntrax nectar. They have a lemon tea one that mixes well with any sugar free lemonade or tea that is my new favorite. I do keep it in a double insulated thermos, because it's coor doesn't make me think tea but it mixes well. They have a great cookies and cream and peanut butter cookie. They are reasonably priced and they have 100 calories, 23 grams of carbs, and 0 fat or carbs. Yummy!!
