  2. I called my Dr Monday and they told me with lots the exercising I'm doing I need to ramp it up to 1000 cal. I was at 800. I'm on the. I me for 20 min then lifting weights for another hour. I'll be honest with everyone. It's Easter there's candy around I might go over a bit. Lol.
  3. Peacheeie- my story is just like your. My starting weight was 207 had a revision do to band failure and also diabetes. I have gotten down as far at 185. I started working out the lasts 3 weeks and I'm up to 188. Calories are set To 800 by me. Dr states not to count calories, eat three meals and stay away from carbs. I can eat more then 4 oz, wonder if I stretched my sleeve. Dr and RNP says my weightloss will be slow because of the band.
  4. DON'T WORRY ABOUT A THING!!!. I was a mess the days leading up to my surgery. I couldn't even drive to the hospital that day. Hangin there!!

  6. I'm in Bellevue. My surgeon is Dr Myur Srikanth and I'm having surgery at Evergreen Hospital on Thursday, 2/21. Had mine 1/22/15 by the same Dr.
  7. I'm still on clear liquids plus protein shakes. Feb 19th will be 4 weeks post ops I get to move on to Pured foods.

  10. Day 1 post op - week 4 post op: Clear liquids plus 60 grams Protein (shakes 4 oz Water, isopure) Week- 5/6 pureed Week- 7/8- Soft Week- 9- Normal Foods Im only 9 days post op

  13. Thank you for the update, My surgery is in 6 days I'm scared but excited, My surgeon wants us on clear liquids for 4 weeks post op, then pureed for week 5 and six. The real kicker is no actual food meals until week nine.
  14. 204 this morning not to shabby. I think the store bought broths have worked their way out of my system. So much sodium in them. The protein that I use is made by Syntrax. Peanut butter cookie is awesome. 150 calories, 23 g protien, and 6 carbs, Pretty good.
  15. I'll double check the scale in the morning, my first weigh in of the day. The orders are 10 days clear liquid us 3 protein shakes a day, I'm following it exactly. Your right about sodium content, I've started to make my own broth yesterday and not adding any salt.
  16. They want me to shrink my liver. I need to drink more Water. I know my calorie intake are low, by how much I normally eat before the diet.
  17. I'm on day 3 of 10 clear liquid diet, and I'm gaining weight. Normally 202-204 but day 3 started at 210. I've been drinking 3 Protein shakes a day, sugar free Jello and home made broth. What gives? Dr. wants to see wight loss. Surgery on 8 days.
  18. Finally someone else having the surgery on the same day. Sure we can be sleeve buddies. I'm having my surgery in Kirkland Wa. I know I have a great surgeon. He did my wife's sleeve, and gall bladder. I'm still scared. I start my clear liquid diet tomorrow. I get to include Protein shakes I belive 6th rams of protein a day. Good luck too you also. If you have any question ask away if I can't answer them I know my wife can.

  20. It is set!! Revision in 12 days. I had my final consult yesterday, ready to get this show on the road. I start my clear liquid diet tomorrow for 11 day so I can shrink my fatty liver. I didn't know he was over weight ? I'm ready for it, but really scared of passing away during surgery. SCARED. On top of that I found out I have the pre stages of barret esophagus issues after my endoscopy. Then put H.Pilory in the mix. Baby steps one thing at a time.

  22. I have BC/BS and approved the first try. I think you should be good to go. I was taken back, by what your psychologist said. I think family support is a big thing. Your family should be proud of you for taking the next step to being healthy and be around for along time. Even though I'm at 33% bf my diabetes is out of control, that's one of the main reasons to get the surgery, Hang in there, think positive, think about the new you.
  23. I noticed the EMS. I'm also in the EMS field and it does impact my job at times. Also the embarrassment of trying to fit it to tight areas, especially when I hit my port.
