  3. Hey folks. I am home from surgery. Everything went well so so far so good. It's amazing how different it feels with the band out. So now that the surgery is over my nerves have finally calmed down and I can focus on success. So I'm excited now. Thanks again everyone.
  4. Thank you so much everyone. This forum has been amazing with the amount of support you folks are giving. It it really appreciated. Thank you everyone. It has helped tremendously.
  5. I'm scheduled for surgery in the morning. My nerves are still out of control. To be honest. I am mentally fried from all the highs and lows.

  8. Hey folks. My surgery was canceled due to my potassium being low and they could not get it above 3.0 so I have to be rescheduled.
  9. I'm on my way down to the hospital.

  11. Thank you everyone. I am just a worry wort and crazy. Haha
  12. Hey folks my band to sleeve procedure is in the morning 12-5-2014 and my nerves and anxiety is at a all time high. So if you would everyone send me positive vibes that I don't die. Or get a infection or blood clot. I am a nervous wreck.
  13. Thank you everyone. I assume it won't be near as bad as my back pin I deal with on a daily basis.
  14. Hey guys how much pain was you in after the band removal and sleeve in one procedure? I am having this done Friday. In 2 days and my nerves are extremely rattled and my anxiety is through the roof. Not because of pain just the surgery itself. I am hung up on the fact they are removing part of my stomach. I am on chronic pain medication for my back and I have been on it for about 4 years now. I hope they can get my pain under control post op and send me home with something other than my normal pain meds. Can anyone give me any advice on this. Thanks in advance.

  16. I have Cigna insurance and I submitted for a revision and within 2 weeks I was approved with a surgery date of December 5th. My surgeon told me I would have no problems with approval because she has documentation for several months of follow up with her that the band was causing me problems and gaining weight. This process was so quick for me it has been overwhelming. My surgeon really went the extra step to get me approved (I'm sure she likes the money she get paid so that's why she did it not because I'm special by any means) but I would really evaluate your surgeon to make sure he or she is doing all they can for you. And good luck. I hope it works out for you.

  20. Babelfish thanks for sharing. I definitely have been encouraged to hear everyone say they are glad they had the revision.
  21. @thesuse. Thanks for sharing your journey. When I eat it feels like I have a knife stuck in my sternum. So I am looking forward to getting this band out for sure. I just hope I can lose weight with the sleeve. Right now my band is about as full as it can go and I don't eat much at all because it is painful. So my fingers are crossed that this surgery helps me. Either way the band is coming out weather the sleeve helps me lose weight or not. And peachie glad to hear this forum is helping you. If you have any questions feel free to message me anytime. I'll be glad to give you any advise or encouraging words I can. Thanks everyone
  22. She has had her surgery scheduled for several months now. I just started the process about a month ago and already have a surgery date. I didn't expect to be scheduled before her. But my surgeon said she would move me to the front of the line
  23. We are both rather excited about it. The only thing we are really worried about is we have a 2 year old daughter. Taking care of her will be a little rough during recovery. But since I'm 2 weeks before her hopefully I'll be well enough to care for the little one and her since she will be caring for me during recovery.
  24. Thank you bearhugs. That's what we are hoping since we are going through it together that we will have a better chance of success.
