  1. They are just sneakin a peak..
  2. I made the mistake of telling my mom...Oh boy....that was a mistake. People dont understand how it is to want to and have to eat ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME...
  3. Im 40 and 300lbs pre surgery (in 2 weeks) and my wife already has to beat me off her with a stick as it is, and I can go pretty good, she usually taps out..I really feel bad for her in the future.. oh boy!!!!
  4. My doctor wants me taking liquid proteins within 72 hours after surgery. in 2 to 4 oz servings with 64 oz of water a day starting the next day. He says the protein helps speed up the healing process. Its amazing the different advice different doctors give.
  5. I am really nervous and have 2 weeks to go till surgery...I want to know a few things to expect. Just curious as to your portions when eating? What fills you up and how does it feel exactly??? Do you still want to eat and just cant physically? Do you throw up all the tme? I hope I will not regret the way I look and feel.. I would like to see portion size and the types of foods you can still tolerate..Please tell me you can still eat pizza occasionally.. Im just really nervous that I will miss food..

  7. Thanks..I just dont want to LOOK sickly and want to achieve an athletic build and continue lifting and martial arts. Im 300 lbs and can move pretty good, cant wait to see how I can move at 210-200... How long did it take for you to start loosing weight?
  8. Just be careful and monitor the pain. If you have trouble breathing or get sharp stabbing pains in your upper body get to the hospital immediately. A blood clot can travel fast and do damage fast.
  9. My doctor wants Clear liquids for 72 hours, then to the liquid diet for a week then progressing gradually for 30-40 days. They gave me sample menus with 2 to 4 oz portions. Im really trying to imagine eating 2 oz portions and being able to walk away.. I think I will also seek some behavioral counseling as I am more of a mental eater than a physical one. I eat when Im bored and or stressed... I eat because I THINK I should be eating. I so just want to eat normal meals and not feel disgusted with myself after eating every meal..It becomes a vicious cycle of depression and anxiety that is hard to break. Once I see the scale moving downward I will find the motivation...
  10. I know this sounds kind of weird, but can someone post a picture of a typical meal? Just so I know what to expect. Also can you eat the occasional sweets with the sleeve?
  11. No, eating 2,3 and 4 portions made me fat.. I have always tried portion control but my body and mind would not let me eat just the one portion...
  12. I get my surgery on the 12th of January and food has been running my life for 40 years.
  13. Just curious as to if a person will ever be able to eat a "portion" of food following the surgery. I keep hearing 1/4 of this a 1/2 of that and it kind of scares me that I am going to hate myself for doing this... Do you ever go back to eating a normal human portion of food?
  14. My surgeon wants me taking B-12, D and Calcium...It has all of them?
  15. Which brand Vitamins would everyone recommend and are you guys more comfortable with liquid form or pills?? And what are your reasons?
  16. Again, what are you even talking about?
  17. What in the world are you talking about?? Did I miss something here?
  18. My question is why would you order that stuff from take out places when its so simple to make and take with you? Is it more if you are in a pinch and need to eat, or is it a lifestyle where it does not allow you to make your own foods? Also FWIW My wife worked in the food industry, and your "GRILLED" chicken you order from a diner or pizza place is thrown on the skillet with a ton of grease, its not grilled..The horror stories she has told me, bleeeeehhh... I dont plan on ordering take out after all this, but plans change of course. But I cant see me doing it within the first 2 months following surgery for sure...whats your opinion on that?
  19. I find most if not all takout foods have extremely high levels of sodium and preservatives. Not what I would call "healthy". Remember healthy is not just not being fat anymore..What you stated may be a better alternative than the alternatives on the menu, sure. But not the best choices, but thats just my opinion. After going through this, I dont plan on touching take out food ever again.. And FWIW the OP is less than 2 months out of surgery, is it really recommended to be eating take out/processed foods already? Isn't that what got us all in trouble in the first place?
  20. Still doesnt change my advice. I have yet to see a healthy take out place...
  21. I recently had shoulder surgery and 4 days later my calves hurt. I went to the ER and turns out I had DVT or Blood clots in my calves. VERY dangerous..Please let your doctor know, the feeling was similar to sore calves and if i didnt just have surgery I probably would have just let it go..
  22. I wouldn't be ordering out to begin with..There is not a fast food takeout out there that will do your body good.
  23. Watch the Starbucks drinks. They have massive amounts of calories...
