Sounds like he will need some time to sort this out. It is a big change for him too. That being said his actions and words are very frustrating. I feel for you. It looks like you might be needing to find your primary support somewhere else. Good Luck on your journey. Amanda
  3. I went rock climbing for the first time tonight. It was fantastic!! I never would have done this a year ago. Perhaps not even a month ago. I'm a 3%er
  4. The view of the other folks was a bit weird too. Those straps cut into everyone. I was in the L one and there were XL & XXL. I had pizza tonight too. Buffalo chicken, yum. Thanks. You've been a bit quiet lately. I hope all is well and it is because you are spending all your time writing Hard Death.
  5. I've been to this place before with friends and said I "never wanted" to do it myself. That was Bull**it. I always thought I was too heavy and they wouldn't let me. Today I climbed 6 walls more then half way and one to the top. We're talking over 50ft to the top. It was fantastic!!

  7. I had an amazing day. First the treadmill moment then..... I went rock climbing!!!! I did 6 walls more then half way and one all the way to the top. I've been to this place before to watch friends but never "wanted to do it myself" That was bull**it, actually I never thought I could or thought I was too heavy. I think I was the biggest lady up the walls but no one stared or commented. When I got to the top of the one wall I let out a whoop and some folks started clapping. It was fantastic.
  8. I have a great one by UnderArmor. It zips up the front so it is easy to get on/off. The girls are held very snuggly. Enell makes great ones too(zip up front).
  9. Exactually!! I am my own worst enemy.
  10. On my treadmill 4.0 is jogging. That is the speed Im at for the "run" portion too. I found myself thinking today soon this will be my slow speed for intervals in a few months. I hope. Gum while running? My trainer gave me holy hell when I did that once. He said he flat out refused to do rescue breathing on me when I choke on it. That did it for me. No gum.
  11. Today I did my run on the treadmill because it's gunna be a humid day. So anyways I get really bored on that thing, running to nowhere. I had some good music going, Eminems Lose it, and I was imagining what it would be like at the Triathlon. I was at the 1.95 mile mark and realized I would be seeing the finish line by that point. I actually heard the cheering, and folks urging me on to finish. I started to cry and had to "mop the sweat away" to mask the tears. It was so emotional. I hope on the day I will be able to hold it together. Sometimes I can't believe I'm really doing this. Ya Im such a girl.

  16. Seems kind of funny that they are raffling a Band surgery at a conference mainly for post banded folks. They should be raffling a tummy tuck.
  17. Welcome Kathleen! I wasn't banded by Dr G. Im glad you're finding your LapBand experience a good one.
  18. msjessy give the office a call and let them know your concerns. They might have a better handle on this and can help calm your fears.
  19. You're doing it. You didn't think you could, but you are. You have kids so you know about sacrifice. Did you carry/birth them yourself? Well this is a cinch. This time next year you will look back on these blogs and have a good laugh. Hell next month you will be reading about some other pre-bander moaning about the liquid diet. I've been there and gotten through. Now I B*tch when I have a fill and have to be on liquid for 2 days. It is all worth it. Really. Good Luck with your journey. Amanda
  20. Just wondering how many folks do the program on the treadmill and how many on the road? Combination of the two?
  21. I'm not. The closest I come to religion is the Goddess of green lights and when I get the "frick'n Bjesus" scared out of me.
  22. Through the ministry of Lap Band Talk may God give you pardon and peace, and I absolve you from your sins in the name of Protien, and of BP's, and of the Spirit of pizza. (please, please, please no one take offense)
  23. Annie I like it. I really do. Mourn it, embrace it. You are more then your hair. I know you don't think so now. For a lot of big girls their hair is their one bit of normal in a large size world. No matter how high the scale jumped your hair was your crowning glory. I get that. Shit changes. Priorities change. bodies change. People change. Change sucks sometimes. Ya Im rambling. sorry. You look good to me.
  24. Ceradad- My Tri is on Aug 2 also.
  25. Chris now you have a second Tri under your belt you're a veteran now. Where was this one held? Pics?
