  1. I appreciate everyone's response. I love plain water but I know after several months I will need to mix it up a bit.
  2. I'm not a huge crystal light fan. I do like lemon and limes in my water. Another thing is I have a fruit infused pitcher which helps. Are powerade zeros okay?
  3. My date is may 4th too!
  4. I'm getting sleeved in a month, your pics are so encouraging! Thanks for sharing!
  5. As of now I have been drinking these in place of soda but after surgery this is a no no. What does everyone drink post surgery to mix up the Water?
  6. Redding, CA? Im from California but currently live in Virginia. I was thinking of a FB group or something?
  7. Hi all! I received the call and May 4th I'm getting sleeved! Any other May Sleever's? Maybe we can create a support group?
  8. Hi! So my bariatric center is submitting my paperwork for approval to UHC today. The office told me that it can take up to 45 days to get an answer but typically its 2 weeks. How long did it take those who have UHC to get approved?!
  9. Hi all! I'm in my 4th month and have two months to go before I can have surgery...I've been thinking a lot about what if I never wake up etc, is it okay or proper to ask my surgeon his mortality rate? I don't wNt to offend him but this is my life. I appreciate your responses ????
  10. That's awesome! I'm in my 4th month and hoping to be scheduled late March/early April.
  11. Hi! I'm scheduled for March too!! I have to complete a 6-month food diary so I'm on target to have surgery in the middle to end of March!
  12. So probably 2-3 weeks will be safe. Thanks so much for all the responses!
  13. Hi! I'm in the middle of my 6-month food log (the last of the requirements by my insurance) and Im curious as to how much time everyone is taking off work? I was told by my doctor I would be off for at least two weeks but some take up to 8 weeks off? Is this something one can apply for short term disability for?
  14. @@dashofsunshine thank you so much for that information! While I do not suffer from PCOS I have had a miscarriage. I turned 30 this year and one oft reasons for having this surgery is so I can have a healthy pregnancy and be considered "high risk". Everything I have read says one can have a healthy pregnancy, makes me feel better your surgeon agreed. Thanks again for your response and best of luck on your journey
  15. @@dashofsunshine #3 is a great question! What did your surgeon say?
  16. Hi! I was in the same boat you are! I'm a candidate for both the sleeve or bypass and I asked my surgeon which he thought was best. While he didn't come right out and say it he did give a lot of useful and helpful information for me to decide with the sleeve! I hope this helps! Good luck at your appt!
  17. I have UHC too! I'm in the middle of my six months! I'm hoping I get approved. I am the same height and weight but I do have high blood pressure. Good luck to you!
  18. Thanks so much Kindle and Miss Mac!
  19. Does medical quality protein taste okay?
  20. Hi! My nutritionist suggested that i start trying different brands of protein prior to my surgery. Any suggestions on brands would be greatly appreciated!
  21. Hi! My psych Eval was just a conversation. We chatted and she asked a few questions but it was nothing to stress about. Good luck!
