You are not alone. My constipation is so bad that I actually developed Hemorroids (how embarrassing). I actually had to have surgery they were so bad... My surgeon told me to increase fluids and take Miralax. Well today is hell...I am getting married in 6 months and I have a wedding show to go to today and I need some relief anbefore going. I am 3 weeks out of Hemorroid surgery and can't go...Gosh this sucks...I don't have any suggestions except my lapband surgeon constantly tells me to take Milk of Magnesium... Not sure if this will help you or not but just want you to know YOU are not alone...Need to talk look me up!!! Charli

I take 1500 mg a day and I have to cut the pills in 1/2. I take 3 500 mg at a time.

Beth, I am sorry your going through that. Just stick it out for the yr then switch if you can't handle it or you could give Dr Weaver's office a call. They impressed me even over the phone and worked me in immediately. I was suppose to go last week but of course the snow closed the office. Hello ALL!!! I had lapband Surgery and As some of you I used Woodman. I have not been to see him since July 08 because I refuse to pay someone to make me cry after I leave their office. I lost 70 lbs in about 6 months then when I saw him he told me he was doing a fill. We I am going to see Dr Weaver-McGrath on March 11 and her nurse seems to think that Woodman took all my fluid out or almost all. I have not changed my diet or my excercise but I have lost like 15 lbs in 7 months. If I had to do it all over I would definately NOT use Woodman. He is an A$$ and If I wanted his abusive mouth I would have just listened to the voice inside me or memories of being an obese child and think about what cruel people said. I have PCOS and HS (boils from sweat glands getting infected) and Woodman said all I have is EXCUSES or I must be hitting the vendor machines and I have told him I haven't since a moth before surgery which was Halloween 07. I had surgery on Nov 19th 07 and I am looking for some support and HE is NOT it!!!!!!!! Good luck to all and I will tell you how my visit with Weaver goes....Charli

He is my present doctor. Waiting to see Dr Weaver. You only see the assistant sometimes. Most of the time I have had to see him and yes I usually leave there in tears cause 10 to 15 lbs per month was not good enough for him. He still says I'm lazy!!!!

Hi all!!! And I hope everyone is doing great!!!! Good luck to everyone who is waiting on approval. I am a patient of Dr Woodman well at least until I can get an appt with Dr Weaver- McGrath. I had the lapband surgery in Nov 07 and did fine until July 08. I have not been back to Woodman since then. I refuse to go to a doctor that ends up upsetting me to the point of tears after I leave his office. I know I maybe hurting myself in the long run but I can not take his abuse anymore. I also agree with the post from some months ago about not knowing what is actually in your band. My best friend had surgery in April 08 and she asked him home much he has put in her band he told her not to worry about it. She is a nurse and was just curious. She is now in outraged with him because of the way he treated her. I hope you guys think hard before you make up your mind to use him. Again GOOD luck to all!!!!

Hi all!! I had surgery 11 months ago and it comes and goes...My doc said that Milk of Magnesia would be okay with the band to help and it does but I have tried eating one of those Danivia yougart to helpinstead of Milk of Magnesia...Good luck

I guess it depends on the doc ot Nutritionist. My Doc says 20-25 per day and he is very stearn on that!

My doc preaches Fat grams...I am allowed 20 fat grams a day and no more. I was banded Nov 19th,07 and I have lost 71 and I am at a stand still at the moment but I am not exercising like I should be. I can't even think about sandwiches...I would love a pb&j sandwich. Maybe try and watch your fat grams and see if that helps. How many restrictions have you had? Charli

I have BCBS of Georgia and since it is an out of state insurance they let me go to any Memphis Hosp...Just a thought...Have you called to see if the will accept any other hosp? Charli

I know you wrote this a few months back but there is a calendar on his website. Have you been to a support group meeting yet? Do you get anything out of them?

I have the same problem...I get this girgling then I burp but before the band it was loud and alot....

I had Band Surgery in November and YES I totally agree with everyone else about Woodman. I saw him Thursday and he doesn't care that I have been sick and Nausea with Kidney stones for 3 weeks out of 4 since I saw him last. He finally tightened my band and basically told me I was NOT eating right foods but I must be doing something right. I have lost 66.5 lbs since Nov 19th but he doesn't care. I have only had 1 other restriction and that was in Dec...So I think I am doing a good job...Doing it for me anyway NOT for him!!! Good luck everyone
