  1. @@silvertaurus I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. I haven't been sleeved yet, but joined this sight to learn more ang hear the good and the bad. More people tend to post the positive, but there is always that 1% that didn't go as planned. I'm sorry that had to be you. Complications of this magnitude are what scare me.
  2. @@BLERDgirl thanks for the info! Seems like different doctors have diffent requirements. My Dr was telling me that he no longer requires the 2 week pre-op diet because the size of the liver doesn't change significantly during that short period of time. @@Karess Haivala I'm glad you found this to be resourceful! I'm glad I posted the questions also! I'm new on here but everyone's been so helpful! I'm really glad I found this site!
  3. I'm penciled in for January 2nd.
  4. I haven't been sleeved yet, my surgery is booked for 12/29. My highest weight was 368, I had my consultation last week and I weighed in at 337. My Dr. doesn't require a pre-op diet, but I'm going to do it anyway. I'm hoping be to in the 2's and then One-derland soon enough! I love reading all the success stories!
  5. @@barriej9 2-3 lbs a week is great! Keep that up and you'll be down 100+ lbs in a year! Congrats!

  7. Thanks, everyone, for your input! How is everyone doing post-op so far, and how long has it been since your surgery?
  8. @@Babbs, that's awesome! How's the weightloss coming along?
  9. @@della street, I asked my Dr about bowl prep and he said it's not necessary. It would be interesting to know what other Dr's responses were. @@Elode thank you! I'm thinking about doing the diet to help me prepare for the surgery, myself. I'm scared of the psych test because I'm an emotional eater, and I read somewhere that they will deny you if you do a lot of emotional eating. =/
  10. Hi everyone! I'm new here! I just had a consultation with my Dr. and I'm looking to get sleeved on 1-2-2015. I had a friend who was recently sleeved and she was put on a 2 week liquid diet. I asked about this at my consultation and the Dr said it's not necessary, I just have to eat light the day before the surgery. Did anyone else not have to do the 2 week pre-op diet? Also, what's the psych evaluation like? Thanks, in advance, for your help!
