  1. Yesterday she was eating and was like "oh I know you'd die for some of this pernil right now!" I said "nope, I'm not even hungry anymore! Haven't craved a thing since Monday," as she sat there eating 2 huge plates of food and downing it with soda. It was actually a bit disgusting to watch!
  2. I just got sleeved Monday, so no weight loss yet. My best friend and I had discussed the surgery before-hand, as we both wanted to get sleeved. Her insurance requires 3 months with a dietician, mine didn't, so needles to say I got mine first. After I came home from the hospital, she called to bs about other things then finally said "oh didn't you have surgery? How are you feeling? " as I was telling her she interrupted and said, "yeah, I don't think I'm doing it, I can lose the weight on my own, I don't want to cheat my way to weightloss!" What a sucker punch to the gut! I only said to her you do what you please, and continued the conversation... smh
  3. I say cut back on your social outings, and the weight will start falling off again. How about you stick to hanging out only on the weekends?
  4. Broth, tea, 100% juices *dilute it yourself 50%*, water, jello and unflavored protein for the first two weeks, if your surgeon requires 2 weeks of clear liquids for phase 1.
  5. Congrats @@queensleever05 Glad you're feeling pretty good. I got sleeved the 29th, came home yesterday because I was walking around and feeling good. I had barely any gas, because my Dr. pumped most of it out of me, but I did feel pain immediately after waking, and then it got better. The hospital let me go without a leak test also, they said the Dr did the leak test while I was under anesthesia, before he closed me up. Today's day 3, I've been home since 5 pm yesterday, and I'm very sore. I'm about to pop a perk and hit the bed again.
  6. Surgery went great! I felt some discomfort and nausea yesterday, but today I feel much better, despite the fact that I cannot pass gas to save my life! I feel as though I have acid reflux now.
  7. Best of luck @@angiecr! I'm here, now, waiting. Didn't sleep most of the night. Partially because my husband was snoring incredibly loud! Lol
  8. @@PerfectlyImperfect88 I go in @ 7:30 am, Hackensack University Medical Center. & you?
  9. Thank you @@bellabill! I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 tomorrow morning. I am a nervous wreck! I doubt I'll sleep much tonight! Wishing you have a smooth surgery and quick recovery!
  10. Thanks! I heard nurse Olivia was great, from a co-worker!
  11. Definitely requesting that @@BeagleLover that's a great suggestion!
  12. Prayers for a smooth surgery! I go in tomorrow as well. I am nervous beyond belief.
  13. Thank you everyone for the great tips and well-wishes! @@CheleLynn45 that stomach stuff ie is adorable! I want one! =)
  14. Glad to hear all went well! I get sleeved tomorrow at 7:30 am =/ nervous as heck!
  15. Good morning Pals!! I have surgery at 7:30 tomorrow morning. I didn't sleep most of the night, my stomach's been very upset, needless to say nerves have kicked in. Any tips on must-haves at the hospital, prayers and positive vibes are all welcome!
  16. That's great!!! My surgery is the 29th! Can't wait to have my own NSV's!!
  17. Funny, I was just looking for a"before" pic, as surgery is next Monday. I found 5,632 pictures of my husband, kids, family, scenery... you name it, but none of my entire self. I take face shots, but not one of my body! Goes to show how much I truly despise my visual image! I will attempt a full-body selfie on Christmas day! =)
  18. My Doctor had told me the first two weeks , I may not go. You're only really drinking fluids, so you're not really producing waste in the form of a bowel movement, just urine. I'll be freaking out soon, too, though, as I'm very regular and when I don't go I feel bloated. 12/29 sleeve date.
  19. You know what always works for me? when my husband comes to me with a long, sad face and says "I need a hug!" Sometimes we are so caught up in the hustle and bustle and don't realize we're pushing the ones who love and support us most to the side. When you do get that hug, hug her with passion and let it be known that you miss her touch, as you kiss her softly on her forehead. I hope things get better for you both. It's not easy for us, ladies, especially when our self-esteem is in the dumps. And everything that @@LipstickLady said is on-point!
  20. @@Avhick I'm also being sleeved 12/29! Welcome to BP. You will find a lot of support and answers here, I know I have! I got my dad and brother to "approve" by being on this site and showing them before and after pics, telling them that I just needed help with portion control and this surgery is going to do just that for me, but it's up to me to work out and eat right to make this surgery work for me. I hope somehow they are able to see the positive aspect of what you are doing for your health!
  21. I want to be able to see my passing reflection and not cringe. I want to be able to go into any store to shop for clothes, not over-priced, plus sized stores. I want to feel comfortable in my own skin...12/29, my life will change forever!
  22. Best of luck to you, both!
