  8. I didn't have to do any before my surgery. I guess every doc is different.
  9. I had my surgery done by Atkinson I wonder if we could attend each other's meetings. I am curious about each doctors information. I wish there was a group in Henderson.

  11. Oh awesome! When did u have your surgery done?
  12. Hello, I had the band done in 2006. I did great with it. Followed the band rules. Lost 100 pounds. Then 2014 I had a little issues w/my esophagus. Long story short, my band needed to be completely open. (Fluid taken out of the port). Then my tub had a leak. I gained 50 pounds back because I didn't have my tool. So I needed to have surgery. Grant it they could fix the band. But now I could have a possibility of a slip. After tons of research I decided to have only one surgery and get the gastric sleeve 1/5/15. If the sleeve helps me as well as the band I will be a happy camper. It's not easy to lose weight. Hell, and keep it off. I am thankful there are tools out there that one can choice from. No choice is a bad choice... Be healthy...happy
  13. I would love to get in on this.... Great motivation. As of today 198.3
  14. @@Lang0415 I had the same issue. My problem ended up being to much gram of sugar. It had 3 grams. Also take small sips. I can still feel it when it goes down. But I am not uncomfortable.
  15. @ Dimo09 how lucky you are..... Soft meats. Yummy! I go for my first follow up tomorrow. I will be going to stage 2, (I think) after that. I am looking forward to a little texture.
  16. Congrats to all of you. I to am going through the a lone phase. (I hope phase) I felt pretty good the first few days. Did a lot of walking to get rid of the gas. Now I am week and emotional. Ohhhh I have an odd thing going on. My arms. More the left then right. But from my wrist up...to my elbow. Have been sore like crazy. I get a little relief if I keep them warm. I am I the only one?
  17. Had my sleeve 1/5/15. For the gas bubbles. I walked and walked. I am sure you heard the walking speech. But it is the answer to letting go of those bubbles. Yesterday was a yucky day for me. Protein shake I tried didn't set well. Today is a much better day. Still feel lonely. Can't really vent to much at home. Hubby thinks you made your bed now.... But thank goodness I found this app.
  18. Awesome! I had the sleeve done 1/5/15. Today is a good day.
  19. Had my surgery 1/5/15....Any new bees?? I am in Henderson horizon ridge.
  20. Thanks so much. The kind words a lone is major help. Today will be a good day!
  21. I had my surgery in Las Vegas. 9 years ago I had the lap band. Few months ago had issues with my esophagus. Of course, they opened my band. Come to find out it wasn't my band it was the scar tissue above causing restriction. Long story short band hand to be removed. But with all the hoopla of insurance and what not I gained 50 pounds. Plus the weight I gained beforehand. I was going to have the band removed. Fix my boo boo in my throat. I should have been trained long enough and no what to to. Oh noooo..... I am an addict. I eat! I needed a tool! With much research and talking with my doctor. The Gastric Sleeve was the answer. Sleeve is way different then the band. I learned the hard way. Protein drinks I have to watch the sugar. One I could drink was 3grams. The other was 5grams. Sorry for the babbling. No one understands.
  22. I am Kimberly. I had my surgery (gastric sleeve) on 1/5/15. I am looking for a support group. Today was/is a bad day. Tried a protein drink 2 ounces. Nauseous, sweats, really yucky. Also, I am very irritable.
